What's the problem with constantly itching the external genitalia? What are the good ways to prevent itching in the external genitalia
Vulva itching makes female friends feel embarrassed. There are many reasons for external genital itching, which may be related to local skin hygiene or gynecological inflammation. If there is itching in the external genitalia, female friends should not go to the hospital due to embarrassment, nor should they take their own medicine.
What is the reason for female genital itching?
1. Poor local skin cleaning. Some women use toilet paper improperly and do not pay attention to the cleanliness and hygiene of their local skin, resulting in itching. The skin of the female vulva is soaked by Vaginal discharge, menstrual blood, urine, sweat, etc., and chronic inflammation occurs in local skin. The female feels the vulva itching.
2. Fungal infection. Some patients with diabetes use antibiotics for a long time, which leads to the imbalance of normal flora in the vagina. Candida albicans in the mold is easy to invade the vulva and vagina, leading to Vaginitis and fungal vulva, with symptoms of vulva pruritus and bean dregs like leucorrhea.
3. Skin disease of the external genitalia. Skin diseases such as eczema, neurodermatitis, and psoriasis in the external genitalia can also cause itching in women's external genitalia. Psoriasis can cause local itching in women's affected areas, with neurodermatitis and eczema becoming more severe. White tinea can cause unclear local skin boundaries in patients, resulting in papules, blisters, and erosive exudates. Patients with neurodermatitis and eczema may experience symptoms of skin thickening and lichenization due to scratching. White spots on the external genitalia can also cause itching, skin atrophy, and vulvar malnutrition. Genital wart and trichomonas vaginalis infection can also lead to female genital itching.
How to alleviate external genital itching?
1. Do a good job in cleaning and hygiene. In daily life, female friends should frequently change their underwear, wash the external genitalia with clean water every day, and do not clean the inside of the vagina or soap to avoid damaging the vagina. Underwear should be made of fully breathable material, and sanitary napkins should be frequently changed during menstruation.
2. Eat less spicy food. Spicy, fried, and greasy foods should not be eaten by female friends, nor should ignited foods be eaten to avoid causing ignition and allergies.
3. Avoid scratches. When there is itching in the external genitalia, it is wrong for many women to scratch. After scraping, not only does it not relieve itching, but it may also expand the scope of infection and cause larger areas of itching symptoms on the skin. When itching occurs, hot water should not be used to wash to avoid exacerbating the itching sensation.
