What harm does prostate disease cause to male sperm? Does non-liquefaction of sperm lead to male infertility
Read the article to remind: In order to better achieve the success of "making babies", many couples also quit smoking and drink, "greening" the human body, and also strengthen exercise. But the wife has not been able to conceive. Among them, men have a disease: non-liquefaction of semen is the key cause of infertility. At the recent symposium on the major progress of male infertility in Henan, male doctors closely discussed the medical and pharmaceutical difficulties of "tadpoles can't swim".
"Crystal jelly" semen entangles sperm
When talking about male infertility, most of us will think that sperm has no vitality, or simply no sperm. In fact, even if there is sperm, if the sperm is always like crystal jelly, then the sperm will be "tied" to the legs, and can't get together with the egg cells.
Sun Tongguo, director of andrology at the test-tube baby hospital of Henan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, said that the semen was in liquid state at the moment when it was discharged from the body, but it quickly condensed into thick crystal jelly, and then slowly liquefied in 5 to 20 minutes. Semen coagulation is a kind of preventive consciousness system for mammals and primates to avoid sperm discharge from the vagina after reproduction, and people have also preserved this feature. This kind of feature allows ejaculated semen to stay in the female vagina for a longer time to improve the chance of pregnancy, and gradually liquefying the method to release vigorous and strong sperm in a moderate time.
If a man cannot completely liquefy within 30 minutes after ejaculation, it is called liquefaction slow, which is harmful to pregnancy; If it still does not liquefy for more than one hour, it is called that the sperm is not liquefying. The sperm is entangled by the sperm, which is as difficult as walking in the mud. It is one of the common causes of male infertility.
Nonliquefaction mostly comes from prostate disease
All normal semen tends to coagulate first and then liquefy, due to the presence of protein coagulase and proteolytic enzyme in semen. The first key comes from the seminal vesicle, and the latter key comes from the male prostate. Under all normal conditions, the two enzymes give full play to their harmonious effects, and the semen successfully completes the whole process of "changing body". If the male prostate or seminal vesicle gland has a problem, it will get rid of the original balance state, resulting in abnormal semen liquefaction.
