Hymen atresia is a gynecological disease that we should pay attention to, and it is also a deformity that occurs after abnormal development of female reproductive organs. It has no impact on health, but has a serious impact on fertility.
Does hymen atresia affect pregnancy
1. Hymenorrhea is often found after menarche. If not detected and treated in a timely manner, the accumulation of blood can cause the fallopian tubes to become enlarged and deformed, causing blood clots to block the tubes, which can affect fertility after marriage.
2. The normal hymen is divided into perforated, semi lunar, sieve shaped, septal, and microporous types. Hymen closure refers to the complete absence of gaps in the hymen. During sex, due to the barrier of the hymen, the male penis cannot enter the female vagina, the sperm cannot combine with the egg to form a Zygote, and the female cannot be pregnant.
Causes of hymen atresia
The hymen is a circular membrane covering the outer opening of the vagina, with a small hole in the center. Atresia of the hymen, also known as imperforate hymen, occurs when the epithelium of the urogenital sinus at the end of the vagina fails to penetrate the vestibule during development. In the late neonatal and early childhood stages, these manifestations are not obvious and require careful examination to distinguish.
Hymen atresia can lead to Hematocolpos. If there is too much hematocele, it can flow into the fallopian tube and enter the abdominal cavity through the umbrella. The peritoneum near the umbrella will become edema and adhesion due to the stimulation of menstrual blood, resulting in the closure of the umbrella of the fallopian tube, forming vaginal, uterine, fallopian tube hematocele, and even intraperitoneal hematocele.
Harm of hymen sealing
1. The first time blood accumulates in the vagina after menstruation, after repeated Menstrual cycle, it gradually progresses to uterine hematocele, fallopian tube hydrops, and even abdominal hematocele
2. Hymen atresia may be accompanied by menstrual blood retention. Clinical characteristics: Adolescent women, periodic lower abdominal pain, future trend of Menstrual cycle, Dysuria and frequent urination (prostate disease), which are difficult to detect, should be operated as soon as possible once found.
3. Causing female infertility.
Surgical treatment of imperforate hymen
1. Incision: make an "X" shaped incision at the prominent part of the imperforate hymen, and the Vaginal orifice after the incision should be able to pass through more than two fingers. If the operation is performed before menarche or the imperforate part is high, a metal Foley catheter should be put into the incision, and the indicator finger should be extended into the anus as a sign to guide the incision of the imperforate part, so as to avoid damaging the urethra, bladder and rectum.
