Three Manifestations of Adolescent Sexual Germination: Pay Attention to Misunderstandings in Education
For teenagers, the most important period is adolescence, which is the period of rapid physical and mental development. At the same time, it is also a time when many parents are most worried about their children. At this time, children will have their own ideas, become rebellious, and also become curious about sex. This is because of the development of gender psychology, which can be seen from three aspects.
Three Manifestations of Adolescent Sexual Germination
1. Develop a strong interest in sexual knowledge
The isolation of adults and society has sparked their resistance. There is no language in textbooks, and of course, there are many low-level interests, even manual copying, etc
2. Likes to approach the opposite sex
Goethe said, "Which young man is not good at falling in love, which young girl is not good at cherishing spring
It is reasonable for teenagers to develop a desire or admiration for the opposite sex under the influence of sex hormones, which is a reflection of their sexual psychological development. Unfortunately, due to their sexual psychology being far less mature than their sexual physiology, there is a significant difference between the two. This causes them to be unable to properly handle the psychological changes during this stage. Some people like to say that they are the easiest to have early love and shout that most middle school students have early love. In fact, their psychological state at this time is not love, but only limited to general longing and admiration, and has nothing to do with love.
3. Having sexual desires and impulses
This is dominated by the rapid increase of sex hormone levels after sexual maturity. However, people's thinking is developed and they have ideas, so their instinctive impulses can be controlled by the brain's rationality, and they will not flood everywhere like a flood.
Therefore, it is necessary to acknowledge that the sexual impulses experienced by teenagers at this time are reasonable, but only to guide them to treat and handle these issues correctly. We cannot view sexual desires and impulses as unhealthy or low-level things, leading to self blame or guilt; We cannot allow desire to control ourselves, break through the constraints of sexual morality and civilization, imitate Western sexual freedom and liberation, resulting in uncivilized consequences such as sexually transmitted disease infection and unmarried pregnancy, causing serious harm to our physical and mental health.
Adolescent education should avoid these misconceptions
Myth 1: Adequate sex education for adolescents. According to Durex's 2004 Global Situation Report, the average age at which Chinese teenagers first receive sex education is 13.7 years old, ranking seventh among the 41 countries surveyed. Dr. Volay Rodia, spokesperson for the World Health Organization's representative office in China, told reporters that when he talked to some university students in Beijing, he found that many people were still very ignorant about sexual issues.
