Who needs circumcision? Generally speaking, adult phimosis and penis still cannot show glans when erecting; Incarcerated phimosis; Too long foreskin makes local sanitation worse; Too long prepuce leads to repeated infection, and the prepuce and ghost even stick together; The opening of phimosis is too small, resulting in small urine flow. The foreskin operation is required for the above cases.
When is circumcision done?
The prepuce operation should be performed before and after puberty without general anesthesia. However, if the young boy has repeated inflammation or even urinary tract infection due to phimosis or long foreskin, he should be treated with surgery as soon as possible to remove the foreskin. Whether a newborn boy should undergo Steamed sandwich or not should be considered carefully because of many disputes and should not be decided hastily.
In addition, it is most suitable for circumcision in winter. This is because the wound should be kept as dry as possible after circumcision, which is more suitable in winter than in summer. Circumcision in winter is not easy to infect after operation. The temperature in winter is conducive to surgery and postoperative recovery. If circumcision is carried out in summer, the human body sweats more in summer, and the warm and humid climate is prone to breeding bacteria. If the nursing is improper, it may cause infection.
What should be noticed after circumcision?
1. Friction must be avoided after circumcision. Exercise such as cycling has a great impact on postoperative recovery. You can't drink alcohol, eat spicy food, fish, beef and mutton, seafood and other foods.
2. Try to avoid sexual stimulation and fantasy after circumcision to prevent penis erection. Of course, the doctor will prescribe some drugs to prevent the patient from erecting, but if the sexual stimulation cannot be controlled, it is still possible to cause the wound rupture or delay the wound healing due to the erection.
3. After circumcision, after the anesthetic effect subsides, the wound will have slight pain and swelling. You should take medicine regularly, usually in three days, the symptoms will subside, and the wound will heal in seven to ten days. Before wound healing, follow up and recheck regularly according to the doctor's instructions. In addition, the wound after the operation should be kept clean and dry. Please be careful not to wet the gauze when urinating. If the gauze is soaked in urine, you can take it off first, and then return to the clinic for dressing change.
4. Generally speaking, one week after circumcision, normal life is basically restored, but because of the high sensitivity of glans penis, there will be a short-term sense of unnatural, but it will disappear about two weeks after the operation. Normal sexual life can be carried out 2 to 4 weeks after operation.
