1. Honesty
It is interesting that scientists have scanned the brains of people who have just fallen in love, and the results show that the quality of the top ranked lover is actually honesty. Stephen from Cornell University conducted a questionnaire survey on nearly a thousand young people aged 18-24 in the United States. The results showed that volunteers were particularly concerned about the honesty of their potential partners, with important characteristics second only to honesty being appearance, family responsibility, wealth, and status.
2. Sense of humor
Researchers have found that once a lover completes a long-distance love run, personality similarities can make their relationship stronger. Women with short chin and men with thick eyebrows are most favored. Tehosier stated that men and women with these characteristics are more attractive because they indicate reproductive health. Estrogen limits the bone growth of women's lower face and chin, making them relatively short and small. Men are influenced by testosterone, which helps to form a good lower face, chin, and thick eyebrows.
4. Symmetry of the body
That is, the left half of the body should be identical to the right half, and the limbs should be symmetrical. Randy Tehosier has been engaged in symmetry research for the past 15 years. He scanned the faces and bodies of different people into a computer to determine the symmetry ratio.
The survey results show that both men and women believe that the opposite sex with good body symmetry is more attractive. Tehosier explained that this is a genetic advantage that indicates a person's good survival ability, while also indicating that their body is very healthy. In contrast, men observe women in slightly different ways, placing more emphasis on facial symmetry than on the body.
5. Ratio of waist to hip
Psychologist Singh from the University of Texas in the United States conducted a study on the ratio of waist to hip circumference and found that women with a waist to hip ratio of 0.7 (indicating that their waist is much thinner than their hips) are the most attractive to men. Scientists have analyzed the body shapes of models from a certain magazine and contestants from Miss America, and found that most of these women have a waist to hip ratio of less than 0.7.
For women, men with a waist to hip ratio between 0.8 and 1.0 are the most attractive, and their wide shoulders are also more likely to stimulate women's sexual desire. Research also shows that people within the ideal waist hip ratio are not prone to cardiovascular, cancer, diabetes and other diseases, regardless of their weight. Moreover, women within this range will encounter fewer difficulties during pregnancy.
6. Body fragrance
German scientists Manfred Milinsky and others have found that people instinctively use their noses when choosing a partner, judging whether the other person is suitable for them based on their scent.
Scientists explain that the function of relying on olfactory assistance to identify a loved one is related to the immune system of the human body. When people approach each other, the odor emitted by their bodies will be perceived by each other and whether it will cause discomfort to the tissues and organs in the body.
