Preventing pelvic fluid accumulation or infection is the first step to eliminate the infection
Pelvic fluid accumulation is also a common disease in our daily life, and its occurrence requires us to distinguish the situation. For pathological conditions, we must pay attention, especially to reasonable prevention in daily life.
Classification of pelvic fluid accumulation
1. Physiological pelvic fluid accumulation: Because the pelvic cavity is the lowest part of the body in the abdominal cavity, when there is exudate or leakage, it will be drained to the pelvic cavity, forming pelvic fluid accumulation.
2. Pathological disc effusion: Clinically, pathological disc effusion is often caused by pelvic inflammatory disease, adnexitis, or endometriosis. The causes of pelvic inflammatory adnexitis are often related to the patient's poor hygiene habits, such as physiological days, sexual activity within one month after childbirth, and bathing within one month after gynecological surgery. Iatrogenic infections caused by artificial abortion and lax disinfection during production can also cause pelvic fluid accumulation.
Causes of pelvic fluid accumulation
1. Not paying attention to hygiene during menstruation: When menstruation comes, the endometrium falls off, the blood sinuses inside the uterus open, and there are small blood clots, which are very suitable for bacterial reproduction. Not paying attention to personal hygiene during menstruation, using unclean sanitary pads, toilet paper, etc. During menstruation, engaging in sexual activity provides a good opportunity for bacterial reproduction and infection, causing female pelvic inflammatory disease.
2. Adjacent organ inflammation spread: When suffering from appendicitis or peritonitis, women are prone to developing pelvic inflammation. When suffering from vaginitis and cervicitis, the inflammation ascends and infects, ultimately leading to pelvic inflammatory disease.
3. Postpartum and post abortion infections: After childbirth and induced abortion, the body is weak and immune system is low. At this time, the cervical opening is in a dilated state. If personal hygiene is not paid attention to, bacteria in the vagina and cervix may also rise and cause female pelvic infections.
4. Infection after gynecological surgery: artificial abortion surgery, ring placement surgery, fallopian tube imaging (fluid infusion), etc. During the surgery, disinfection is not strict, and postoperative infections are prone to occur. Failure to pay attention to personal hygiene after surgery, failure to follow doctor's instructions to resume treatment, premature sexual activity after treatment, and bacterial proliferation can cause pelvic infections in women.
Preventing pelvic fluid accumulation
1. Prepare before gynecological surgery, keep the external genitalia clean, avoid sexual intercourse for 3 days before surgery, pay attention to the cleanliness of the external genitalia and vagina after surgery, wash the external genitalia with warm water, replace perineal pads and underwear in a timely manner, and prohibit sexual intercourse for 2-3 weeks after surgery.
