Is there a golden period for having children? Which age group is better for girls to have children in
As is well known, giving birth cannot be delayed too late, as the risk of elderly mothers is very high. But there are often news reports that children aged 15/16 in rural areas are already pregnant and giving birth. Is there no risk of giving birth so early? Which age group is suitable for childbirth? We invited two experts to answer which age group is most suitable for men and women to have children, respectively.
Which age group is most suitable for having children?
Director Zhuo Yumin, chief physician of the Department of Urology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University, believes that generally speaking, men mature between the ages of 25 and 35, which should be considered the golden age for childbirth. At this time, the overall body development is also relatively mature, and the sperm is also relatively mature. The spermatogenic function is the most vigorous, and at this time, the development of various aspects of intelligence is also relatively mature. So, from a reproductive perspective, it should be better to have children at this age group.
As for when women are most suitable for childbirth, Professor Lu Shan, the chief physician of gynecology at Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, believes that the best time for women to have children is around the age of 23-28, because at this time, women's kidney qi is at its peak. After the age of 30, the abnormal rate of egg genetic material gradually increases with age, and after the age of 35, the number of antral follicles in the ovary sharply decreases, leading to an increase in the incidence of infertility and miscarriage with age.
However, in modern society, childbirth is related to various factors, such as the economy, family, and work, which distract many young women's energy. It is not realistic for women in their early 20s to get married and have children just after reading. Even giving birth in their 40s is not uncommon nowadays, but factors such as environmental pollution, survival pressure, and mental stress have a significant impact on women's endocrine system. Elderly pregnant women are prone to various risks, complications, and the probability of fetal malformations will also greatly increase.
What should be paid attention to during pregnancy preparation?
1. Pay attention to reproductive health and prevent male reproductive system diseases. Prostatitis, sexual dysfunction, sexually transmitted diseases, varicocele, and other reproductive and urinary diseases can all lead to infertility. Therefore, unmarried men should undergo an annual physical examination to understand their health status. If any problems are found, they should go to the hospital for timely diagnosis and treatment. Similarly, screening for gynecological diseases in women should also be done in advance, just in case.
