Is ovarian cancer in advanced stage once discovered? There are seven early signs of ovarian cancer
Ovarian cancer is a gynecological disease that we are familiar with, and it is also one of the diseases that many patients are concerned about. Especially in the early stages, it is not easy to detect it. It is necessary to clarify its initial symptoms, and conduct timely examination and treatment.
Why is early ovarian cancer not easily detected
1. Compared to surface nerves, visceral nerves are usually slow to respond to pain. In the early stages of ovarian cancer, most patients do not experience pain or discomfort, and routine examinations often fail to detect ovarian tumors.
2. The pelvic space is large, and small ovarian masses do not affect surrounding organs and do not cause discomfort. On the contrary, some gynecological diseases can easily cause pain. For example, endometriosis, which means that the endometrium grows outside the uterine cavity, such as between the uterus and rectum, or on the ovaries. As the physiological cycle changes, repeated bleeding within nodules or masses can cause pain. In addition, such as pelvic inflammatory disease, due to the stimulation of the peritoneum by a large number of inflammatory cells, severe pain usually occurs, accompanied by fever and an increase in white blood cells.
3. Ovarian cancer has two types: high-risk and low-risk. High risk ovarian cancer develops rapidly in the short term, mainly with ascites, and is prone to misdiagnosis. Low risk ovarian cancer can undergo long-term development, mainly consisting of lumps, and is relatively easy to diagnose.
Early symptoms of ovarian cancer
1. Oligomenorrhea or amenorrhea: Many ovarian cancer patients have almost no changes in their menstrual cycle. As the cancer increases, cancer cells damage normal ovarian tissue, leading to ovarian dysfunction and early symptoms of oligomenorrhea or amenorrhea
2. Vaginal and lower limb edema: It is also an early symptom of the main ovarian cancer. With the enlargement of ovarian cancer, pelvic veins are compressed, blood flow is obstructed, lymphatic reflux is obstructed, and the external genitalia and lower limbs are swollen.
3. Gastrointestinal symptoms: Menopausal women often feel bloating and loss of appetite. If no gastrointestinal diseases are found during digestive examinations, they should seek medical attention from a gynecological department. Ovarian tumors compress and stretch the surrounding ligaments, resulting in stretched ascites and more gastrointestinal symptoms. This is one of the early symptoms of ovarian cancer.
4. Sexual hormone level disorders: The pathological types of ovarian cancer are complex and varied. When the tumor secretes too much estrogen, the initial symptoms of ovarian cancer can cause precocious puberty, menstrual disorders, and vaginal bleeding after amenorrhea. If it is testicular mother cell carcinoma, male signs may produce excessive androgens.
