If you want to stay away from uremia, you need to do a good job in the "delaying kidney disease trilogy"
Although dialysis and kidney transplantation techniques are available for end-stage renal failure (uremia), they can greatly improve the life span of patients. However, both for patients and their families, they need to face many physical problems, as well as the enormous economic pressure that comes with them.
From the moment of diagnosis of chronic kidney disease, our kidney friends all hope to stay away from uremia in their lifetime. The main treatment goal of nephrologists is also to help patients avoid the occurrence of uremia to the greatest extent!
So, what should our kidney friends do to stay away from uremia as much as possible? This cannot be separated from the cooperation between you and the doctor!
Part 1: Cultivating awareness of follow-up
Follow up?
This word is unfamiliar to many kidney friends. The simple explanation is to see a doctor regularly.
For a patient with chronic kidney disease, the most important thing to stay away from uremia is these two words: follow-up!
There are always patients who ask us, "Doctor, are foreign countries more advanced in treating kidney disease than China, and are the drugs used more advanced than ours?"
In fact, there is not much difference between the general treatment plan and medication!
However, what we lag behind developed countries is the follow-up management of chronic kidney disease. They are managed by community doctors, and our community doctors are virtually non-existent in most places.
Most of our kidney friends are in a very dissociative state and no one cares! I don't know if I should be managed regularly! "We don't have a common kidney disease" janitor "in developed countries, which is the difference.".
In China, there are as many as 120 million patients with kidney disease, of which more than 80% are in a state of normal or slightly abnormal renal function. As long as kidney friends at this stage can be effectively managed, the vast majority of them can stay away from uremia.
However, our patients are educated by various junk information such as Baidu and scam hospitals to only pursue specific therapies. Failure to cure them is nonsense, and it is necessary to quickly remove the pain, once and for all, to be good, or else to wait for death!
Conceptual errors have led to the wrong direction of many of our patients' consultation! In the end, money was trapped and illness delayed.
Chronic kidney disease is actually a disease that requires long-term management, and such preparation is necessary! However, this does not mean that the quality of life will be poor, and failure to cure in a short time does not mean that the next step is waiting for death.
Currently, formal treatment methods can greatly delay the progression of kidney disease and allow kidney friends to obtain good control of their condition. As long as they do not avoid medical taboos and indiscriminate medication, follow a suitable doctor for standardized treatment, and follow up regularly, renal failure for 10 years and 20 years can be prevented for a generation.
A good follow-up doctor will long-term manage the patient's urinary protein, blood pressure, creatinine changes, medication, and other aspects.
Although sometimes it is only a regular observation for 2, 3, or 6 months, this continuous attention is too important for Chinese kidney friends. How many patients have long avoided ignoring their condition? How many people have visited an expert clinic once or twice and switched to eating "folk remedies" to damage their kidneys?
I hope that all our kidney friends can find a suitable kidney physician for themselves and consciously cooperate with their doctors in follow-up management. Only in this way can we have a solid foundation for avoiding uremia!
Part 2: Diet and Life Management
This episode mainly depends on our kidney friends themselves.
The diet for kidney disease mainly includes low salt, high-quality low protein, sufficient calories, low purine, low potassium, and low phosphorus. Different renal function states require different diets.
For details, please refer to the summary of kidney disease, diet and lifestyle adjustment.
In daily life, our kidney friends should minimize the number of acute episodes of infection, maintain regular work and rest, adhere to about 30 minutes of moderate intensity exercise every day, and generally not be too tired.
Good eating and living habits can assist in treatment, which may sound like a few words, but it is not easy to implement. If we can persevere, it can help us maintain good physical fitness and is an important part of disease recovery.
Episode III: Mental Adjustment
A good attitude is the most important part and the prerequisite for all treatments!
Disease is the best precipitator of life's meaning. Before getting sick, who of us would think every day that there is a limit to life? After the age of 30, many "healthy people" just repeat the skills they learned before the age of 30, have no ideas, and just endure.
But it is precisely because of illness that we are urged to remain vigilant all the time! "As we struggle through life, the cold illness hits us hard and says, 'Hey, life is so precious, you don't cherish it yet!'"
Think of illness as a companion who constantly reminds us to take good care of life and cherish time!
Zhong Nie wrote "Spring and Autumn"; Qu Yuan's exile was attributed to the poem "Li Sao"; Zuo Qiu was blind, and there was a copy of "Guoyu"; Sun Tzu Binjiao, "The Art of War" revision; "Not Wei moved to Shu, the legendary" Lvlan "; Han Fei Prisons Qin, "Shuo Nan", "Solitary Anger"; "The Three Hundred Poems" are written by the great sages and sages in anger.
These sages and sages have become frustrated in their will and have achieved themselves. The path of life is inherently uneven, as are the saints, and so are we.
I hope that each of us kidney friends, after adjusting their mindset, will treat disease as a stepping stone for a brilliant life, treat ourselves sincerely, treat our families, and treat life!
