A normal man usually produces 2-3 milliliters of semen at a time, and if it is less than 1 milliliter, it is considered as having too little semen.
Insufficient semen volume can cause sperm to lose vitality and lead to infertility. Statistics show that infertility caused by low semen volume accounts for 1.8% of male infertility.
Why is there too little semen? The main reasons for this are:
1、 Decreased testicular function and endocrine disorders result in incomplete development of the epididymis, prostate, and seminal vesicles, leading to insufficient semen secretion.
2、 Urinary and reproductive system infections, such as prostatitis, seminal vesiculitis, and tuberculosis, can lead to decreased semen.
3、 Damage to the vas deferens caused by seminal vesicle tumors or cysts, urethral stricture, urethral diverticulum, or reproductive tract surgery can also reduce semen volume.
4、 Frequent ejaculation is also one of the reasons for low semen.
If it belongs to the first three reasons, it is necessary to go to the hospital for examination and treatment. If the lack of semen is simply caused by excessive ejaculation, then there is no need to worry,
Just pay attention to rest, reduce the frequency of sexual intercourse appropriately, and regulate psychology and emotions.
