Can the color of semen indicate the level of health? Is semen yellowing because of long abstinence
The color of male semen will change with their own health. The color of semen can also reveal whether the sperm quality meets the standard. Generally speaking, the ejaculated semen is sticky, milky white, and contains gray-white clots. The clot will liquefy after about 10-20 minutes and become translucent and turbid thin mucus. The smell of semen is produced by arginine secreted by the prostate in semen, which is a unique fishy smell.
1. Long abstinence is one of the reasons for the yellowing of semen
Long abstinence is the main reason for the yellowing of semen. The color of semen depends on its composition. Semen consists of sperm and seminal plasma. The semen of normal people is gray or slightly yellowish. If abstinence lasts for a long time, the color will turn yellow due to changes in physical and chemical properties.
2. Long-term yellowing or inflammation of semen
If the semen turns yellow for a long time, men need to pay attention. If the semen turns yellow for a long time, it may be caused by inflammation, such as prostatitis, purulent infection of seminal vesicle (seminal vesiculitis), etc. If the semen turns yellow for a long time, you should go to the regular hospital in time to see if it is caused by the disease, and determine the cause and treat it in time to avoid male infertility caused by the disease
3. The semen is pink, most of which is seminal vesiculitis
If the semen is pink after ejaculation, or there is blood in the semen, most of it is caused by seminal vesicle inflammation. Inflammation of the seminal vesicle may cause congestion and edema of the seminal vesicle. In severe cases, it may cause capillary rupture and bleeding. When the seminal vesicle secretion and semen pass through the seminal vesicle, they will mix with the blood to produce "blood essence". In addition to seminal vesiculitis, which is the most common cause of blood sperm, prostatitis also often involves seminal vesicles and blood sperm. Of course, seminal vesicles and prostate tumors also have blood sperm, but generally speaking, the characteristics of cancerous blood sperm are continuous and gradually deteriorating, which is different from the temporary blood sperm of inflammation. In addition, tuberculosis, schistosomiasis or systemic diseases of the blood system occasionally lead to schistosomiasis. When blood sperm appears, the semen is red or light red. A large number of red blood cells can be seen under the microscope. Some of them look brown red or soy sauce with the naked eye, because there are a large number of red blood cells in the semen. Don't underestimate this, go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment in time.
