Can sexually transmitted diseases affect fertility? What are the hazards of sexually transmitted diseases
Sexually transmitted diseases are mostly caused by improper personal life, such as maintaining sexual relationships with multiple partners at the same time. In addition, improper protection may also lead to being infected with sexually transmitted diseases. Nowadays, young people are more open-minded, so the probability of contracting sexually transmitted diseases is relatively high. However, there are still many young people who do not take sexually transmitted diseases seriously. In fact, sexually transmitted diseases pose a great threat to the human body and should be actively treated after getting sick.
What are the hazards of sexually transmitted diseases?
1. Causing infertility
After a man suffers from sexually transmitted diseases, a large amount of bacteria may kill the sperm in the man's body, leading to a decrease in sperm quality, and over time, it can affect the man's reproductive function. If a woman suffers from sexually transmitted diseases, the bacteria may damage her endocrine system, leading to abnormal conditions in the fallopian tubes and ultimately leading to infertility.
2. There is a possibility of cancer transformation
Research has found that people with sexually transmitted diseases have a much higher chance of developing tumors than ordinary people, such as genital warts, genital herpes, etc. If not treated in a timely manner, it may lead to the emergence of tumors. Tumors that may be caused by sexually transmitted diseases include cervical cancer, penile cancer, female in situ cancer, anal cancer, and so on.
3. Transmit to others
Most sexually transmitted diseases are highly contagious. If patients continue to have close contact with family and friends after the onset of the disease, they may transmit the pathogenic bacteria to their families and cause trouble to others. If a woman becomes pregnant while suffering from sexually transmitted diseases, or becomes infected with sexually transmitted diseases during pregnancy, it may affect the growth and development of the fetus, and in severe cases, even lead to premature birth and stillbirth
4. Increase psychological burden
After most people suffer from sexually transmitted diseases, they have to bear enormous psychological pressure. Firstly, they are afraid of others' abnormal gaze, and secondly, they are afraid of the possibility of cancer in the future. Over time, it may cause psychological shadows in patients, which is not only detrimental to the recovery of the condition, but may also lead to concurrent depression.
5. Posing a threat to life
Some sexually transmitted diseases even have a high mortality rate, such as AIDS. The bacteria carried by these diseases can damage the human immune system, causing the body to lose its basic ability to resist diseases. It is easy to develop other diseases due to bacterial or bacterial infections, forming a vicious cycle, making the patient's body worse and worse, and ultimately potentially leading to fatal danger.
