Why is ovarian cancer not easy to detect? What are the early symptoms of ovarian cancer
Ovarian cancer is a serious gynecological disease, and its harm is also well-known. The initial symptoms of ovarian cancer are not very obvious and are often overlooked. If there are physical abnormalities, immediate examination is necessary.
Why ovarian cancer is not easily detected early
1. Compared to surface nerves, visceral nerves often have a slow response to pain. Ovarian cancer often lacks pain or discomfort in the early stages, and routine examinations often fail to detect ovarian tumors.
2. The pelvic space is large, and small ovarian masses do not affect surrounding organs and do not cause discomfort. On the contrary, some gynecological diseases can easily cause pain. For example, Endometriosis, that is, the endometrium grows outside the uterine cavity, such as between the uterus and the rectum, or on the ovary. With the change of the physiological cycle, repeated bleeding in the nodules or masses will cause pain. In addition, such as pelvic inflammatory disease, due to the stimulation of the peritoneum by a large number of inflammatory cells, severe pain usually occurs, accompanied by fever and an increase in white blood cells.
3. Ovarian cancer has two types: high-risk and low-risk. High risk ovarian cancer develops rapidly in the short term, mainly with ascites, and is prone to misdiagnosis. Low risk ovarian cancer can undergo long-term development, mainly consisting of lumps, and is relatively easy to diagnose.
Early symptoms of ovarian cancer
1. Gastrointestinal discomfort: Due to the compression of ovarian tumors, gastrointestinal symptoms such as bloating and loss of appetite often occur. If menopausal women often feel bloating and loss of appetite, and no gastrointestinal diseases are found after digestive examination, timely examination is necessary.
2. Abdominal mass: Many patients wake up in the morning with a full bladder and accidentally encounter a mass in the lower abdomen. When the mass grows rapidly, they must be highly vigilant. Therefore, regular gynecological ultrasound examination is necessary. If a tumor is small, it must be detected through ultrasound examination. If an ovarian tumor of about 5 centimeters is found, regular follow-up and close observation are necessary.
3. Menstrual disorders: About half of ovarian patients have abnormal menstruation and irregular vaginal bleeding, which is due to ovarian tumors altering the distribution of pelvic blood vessels and causing endometrial congestion
Late stage symptoms of ovarian cancer
1. Occasional discomfort or unilateral lower abdominal pain in the early stages.
2. Abdominal distention, abdominal tumor and ascites. Small tumors can only be found during Pelvic examination. When the tumor gradually exceeds the pelvis, the abdomen contacts the tumor, abdominal distention, abdominal tumor and ascites symptoms
