Prostate examination items mainly include prostate B-ultrasound, prostate fluid routine, urine routine, semen routine, prostate puncture biopsy, etc.
Prostate examination:
1. Prostate B-ultrasound. (Recommended)
Prostate B-ultrasound is applicable to the diagnosis of most prostate diseases, including prostatitis, prostatic hyperplasia, prostatic calcification, prostatic atrophy, and prostatic cyst.
Through B-ultrasound examination of the prostate, we can intuitively observe the shape, size, substantial echo of the prostate, as well as the clarity of the outline, the smoothness and continuity of the capsule, so as to judge the type of prostate disease.
2. Routine examination of prostatic fluid. (Not recommended)
Prostate fluid routine is mainly used for the diagnosis of prostatitis. Bacterial prostatitis, aseptic prostatitis and trichomonal prostatitis can generally be detected by routine examination of prostate fluid.
Through the routine examination of prostate fluid, the values of white blood cells, pus cells, lecithin bodies, trichomonas, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and other substances in the samples can be accurately obtained, so as to make the diagnosis of prostatitis disease.
3. Routine urine test. (Recommended)
Urine routine is mainly used as an auxiliary diagnosis and treatment method for prostatitis and prostatic hyperplasia.
Through routine urine examination, the specific values of white blood cells, pus cells, red blood cells, nitrite and other items in urine can be obtained, so as to make the diagnosis of prostatitis and prostatic hyperplasia.
4. Semen routine (recommended)
Semen routine is mainly used for the diagnosis of male infertility caused by prostate diseases.
Through routine semen examination, the specific values of semen liquefaction time, sperm density, sperm viability and other items can be obtained. With other prostate examination items, the diagnosis of male infertility caused by prostate disease can be made.
5. Prostate puncture biopsy.
Prostate puncture biopsy is mainly used for the diagnosis of prostate cancer.
Through prostate puncture biopsy, the specific value of prostate specific antigen (PSA) can be obtained, so as to make a more accurate diagnosis of prostate cancer.
