The uterus is a particularly important organ in the female body, which also requires reasonable maintenance, especially to prevent the occurrence of uterine diseases, but there are also abnormal situations. Uterine prolapse is one of the gynecological diseases.
What is uterine prolapse
Uterine prolapse is a gynecological disease that many women are unaware of, but 1-4 out of every 100 women suffer from this disease. Therefore, uterine prolapse should be of concern to female friends. Uterine prolapse can bring a lot of inconvenience and psychological pressure to patients in daily life.
According to the literal meaning, it is not difficult for us to understand what uterine prolapse is. Overall, uterine prolapse is where the uterus should leave its intended position. In ordinary women, relevant tissues are involved in uterine support, but for some reason, when this support weakens or disappears, the uterus will descend.
Uterine prolapse causes vaginal dilation, bladder dilation, and rectal dilation. Bladder distension often results in frequent urination, difficulty urinating, or incontinence. Rectal distension often leads to constipation and difficulty urinating. Severe peritoneal irritation symptoms (severe lower abdominal pain, pale color, cold sweating, nausea and vomiting, etc.) occur during acute uterine prolapse.
Symptoms of uterine prolapse
1. Pain sensation: Generally, uterine prolapse can cause soreness in the lumbosacral region, accompanied by sagging of the lower abdomen, especially after labor.
2. Changes in secretions: Uterine prolapse can affect the blood circulation in the pelvic cavity, leading to blood circulation disorders and local congestion, resulting in changes in menstrual volume and excessive menstruation. At the same time, pelvic organs are prone to infection, ulcers, and abnormal vaginal discharge.
3. Urinary system problems: Uterine prolapse can also cause changes in abdominal pressure, accompanied by varying degrees of bladder problems. When women with uterine prolapse experience coughing, excessive exertion, laughter, and other conditions, it can lead to an increase in abdominal pressure and easily lead to urinary incontinence and other symptoms. Even some people may experience difficulty urinating and urinary retention.
4. Lower body discomfort: When the uterus droops severely, there is a noticeable foreign body sensation in the lower body, which affects normal activities such as difficulty walking. Generally, this situation can only be relieved when lying flat.
5. The tumor prolapses from the vagina: Initially, when abdominal pressure increases, the uterus prolapses and expands, and after rest, it can automatically retract. The condition worsens, the prolapse lasts for a long time, and the tumor is getting larger and larger, requiring manual repayment. If the condition continues to develop and the detached tissues become congested and swollen, they cannot be recovered, resulting in difficulty walking or even being unable to move and lying in bed.
6. Obstructive labor: Those who do not affect pregnancy, pregnancy, and delivery, but have uterine prolapse that cannot be compensated, may experience cervical edema, difficulty in expanding the cervix, and difficult labor after delivery.
