What is the reason why vaginal discharge is a bit yellow? Is it normal for vaginal discharge to turn yellow and have no odor
Leucorrhea is a normal reaction in women, it is vaginal discharge. When the vaginal discharge is normal, it has a protective effect on the female body. After the vaginal discharge turns yellow, we must pay attention to it, especially the cause.
The role of vaginal discharge
1. Vaginal lubricant: Leucorrhea can reduce friction between the front and back walls of the vagina, protect the vaginal walls from damage, keep them moist, and improve the quality of flapping.
2. Blocking the invasion of pathogens: Leucorrhea blocks the invasion of foreign pathogens from the vagina, protecting human health.
3. Contribute to conception: During ovulation, there will be a sudden increase in vaginal discharge, which drives sperm migration and is beneficial for conception.
Reasons for the yellowing of vaginal discharge
1. The causes of non inflammatory leukorrhea turning yellow
(1) Leucorrhea is sticky and abundant, after the use of estrogen drugs.
(2) Women of childbearing age have too little vaginal discharge to meet their physiological needs. They often feel dryness of the external genitalia, decreased ovarian function, and insufficient secretion of sexual hormones, which is also a pathological condition.
(3) Stimulation of mental factors increases secretion from the external genitalia, vagina, and cervix, making it colorless and transparent.
(4) Leucorrhea is milky white water. Patients with pelvic tumors, uterine retroflexion, chronic systemic diseases (heart failure, diabetes, anemia, tuberculosis, etc.), pelvic and uterine congestion, and vaginal secretions increase.
(5) Urine has nothing to do with personal hygiene. Urine, ailments, and urine are hidden in the vagina. Leucorrhea turns yellow without paying attention to personal hygiene, not changing sanitary pads or underwear, not washing the genitals, and not washing underwear are related to women's daily habits.
(6) What happens when the vaginal discharge turns yellow after being ignited? It is possible that due to lack of attention to lifestyle habits, the body may become inflamed, leading to yellowing of the vaginal discharge. If the vaginal discharge becomes yellow and has a strange odor without any other symptoms, it is highly likely caused by excessive heat.
2. Yellowing of vaginal discharge caused by inflammation
(1) Leucorrhea is milky white or light yellow, purulent, with a large amount, a foul odor, and often accompanied by abdominal pain. It is generally caused by chronic cervicitis or endometritis.
(2) Leucorrhea yellow or chartreuse, rare foam like, Misi water like, gray in color, leucorrhea has a stink, mostly vaginal trichomonas.
(3) Leucorrhea with gonorrhea is yellow pus like.
(4) After infection with the amoeba parasite, the white discharge secreted mostly appears as a bloody serous or yellow sticky secretion, sometimes mixed with small rotten meat like substances (seemingly yellow sauce soup).
(5) The white band is yellow and white in color, with most of the texture being thick, and sometimes thin. It typically appears milky white, like bean dregs, or in the form of milky white flakes or blocks, mostly caused by fungal infections.
(6) Leucorrhea with blood is commonly seen in cervical polyps, side effects caused by intrauterine devices, submucosal uterine fibroids, and severe chronic cervicitis.
(7) When suffering from fallopian tube cancer, due to the stimulation of the tumor, the fallopian tube epithelium exudates and the necrosis of the diseased tissue, the vaginal discharge is intermittent, clear, and yellow red liquid, which flows out from the vagina one after another, continuously.
(8) After women suffer from cervical cancer, vaginal cancer, uterine body cancer, and other diseases, the "white discharge" they secrete is mostly manifested as: the white discharge is like rice washing water, turbid and has a foul odor, sometimes mixed with blood and appears light pink, with a large amount.
