What are the treatment methods for chronic cervicitis? What should patients with cervicitis pay attention to in their daily lives
Chronic cervicitis is a type of cervicitis and a common disease that requires timely treatment after illness. Generally, it cannot be self treated, and it is also important to pay attention to the correct treatment methods.
Can chronic cervicitis be cured
Chronic cervicitis generally requires treatment to recover, and if not thoroughly treated, it is highly likely to recur after a period of time.
Treatment of chronic cervicitis
1. Drug treatment method: Suitable for patients with small erosion area, shallow invasion of cervicitis, or limited conditions. Local corrosion should be treated with 25% silver nitrate or other local agents. Before medication, the vagina should be cleaned, wiped with a dry cotton ball, and the normal vaginal mucosa should be protected with a cotton ball. Traditional Chinese medicine powder can also be used, but it is prohibited during menstruation and pregnancy, and sexual activity and bathing are prohibited after medication.
2. Local treatment method: suitable for various patients. There are five combination therapies for local treatment - flushing the vagina with medication, ozone, nebulization, red light irradiation, and symptomatic medication inside the vagina. There are also traditional Chinese medicine solutions for flushing the vagina, irradiating it with red light and microwaves. After vaginal cleaning, the medication is usually atomized, and a traditional Chinese medicine ointment that promotes blood circulation and eliminates blood stasis is applied to the inflamed and erosive surfaces, with red light and microwave irradiation.
3. Surgical treatment method: Surgical treatment is generally once and for all, with healing of the scab surface. Daily attention to diet and hygiene habits can once again avoid chronic cervicitis.
4. Physical methods: Physical therapy refers to the use of various physical methods to destroy the epithelium of cervical erosion, causing necrosis and detachment of the erosion surface, and covering the newly formed flat epithelium. Generally, it takes 6-8 weeks for the cervix to become smooth. Physical therapy methods include laser therapy, ironing therapy, cryotherapy, microwave therapy, and beam therapy.
5. Systemic treatment: Systemic treatment is suitable for patients with cervical inflammation. The appearance of the cervix is smooth, and there is purulent secretions in the cervical canal. The cervical secretions can be cultured and tested for drug sensitivity, in order to select corresponding anti infective drugs. For congenital cervical erosion, most patients heal on their own with age or after their first pregnancy, and generally do not require special treatment. For those with excessive secretions, vaginal acid flushing is recommended, When chronic cervicitis is caused by secondary infection, it can be treated as general cervical erosion.
