Penile cancer is a very serious malignant tumor disease with a very high mortality rate. The disease is found and treated at the first time after the onset of the disease. Experts suggest that we understand the symptoms of the disease and find and treat it immediately after the onset of the disease.
What symptoms does penis cancer have?
1. In the early stage of canceration, the epithelium of the penis head or prepuce is thickened. Most patients showed papules, ulcers, warts or vegetable-pattern plaques on the head of the penis, followed by erosion, hard and irregular edges, conscious stinging or burning pain, and purulent odor secretion. When the phimosis and prepuce cannot be turned over, the septum prepuce is carefully contacted, and there is a sense of lump and nodule, and there is a sense of compression in the local area. Early lesions can be seen after circumcision.
2. If the early lesions are not properly treated, the disease will gradually develop, the verrucous nodules will increase or the ulcer will expand and deepen, and the prepuce will become tense, thin and shiny. The edge of the lump or ulcer can expose the outer opening of the prepuce. Then the cancer pierces through the foreskin, and a cauliflower-like lump or cancerous ulcer appears, accompanied by a malodorous secretion. The continuous development of advanced tumors can invade the whole corpus cavernosum of penis and urethra, and infiltrate the scrotum, scrotal contents and the tissues in the anterior pubic region. The distal part of the penis is necrotic and exfoliative due to poor blood supply, and local pain is unbearable. After infiltrating the cavernous body of the urethra, pain, adverse urination, urine accumulation and fistula occurred.
3. Penile enlargement: This is the result of massive proliferation of tumor cells. The swollen shape is often uneven, sometimes irregular, and the penis on one side of the tumor is especially obvious because of the swelling and protruding. The initial manifestations are papules, verrucous new organisms or induration on the penis head, especially along the coronal groove area. General treatment can not prevent its growth and expansion until ulcer and ulceration continue to expand. This is one of the main manifestations of penile cancer.
4. Hard penis: When touching, the cancerous penis is hard, like a stone, but there is no pain under it. This is also the main manifestation of penile cancer.
5. Heavy penis: The penis cancer is formed by a large number of tumor cells, so it is a solid mass. When it grows to a certain extent, the weight of the cancerous penis increases sharply, and the patient feels heavy penis, which affects walking.
What can be prevented?
1. HPV vaccine
So far, there are two kinds of HPV vaccine registered by EMEA and FDA. The study found that in the female population with negative HPV test, the above two vaccines have good preventive effects on long-term HPV infection or accidental advanced cervical lesions. After the clinical trial of HPV vaccine for men, it was proved that the vaccine was safe and effective, so it was listed in some countries. HPV vaccine prevents HPV-positive penile cancer and positive penile cancer, but the real effect still needs to be verified by future clinical trials.
2. Use condoms
Although there is no 0% prevention effect, the use of condoms has a very obvious effect on the prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases. A related clinical study is in progress. In this trial, the sexual partners were randomly given condoms. It was found that the cure time of HPV-related genital lesions in the condom use group was significantly shortened.
3. Quit smoking
Although the specific role of smoking in the pathogenesis of penile cancer is not clear, there is no doubt that smoking is one of the risk factors of penile cancer. Smokers are much more likely to suffer from penile cancer than non-smokers. Actively carrying out smoking cessation campaign is one of the measures to prevent penile cancer.
4. Others
Other preventive measures include prevention of phimosis, treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases of genitals, and improvement of health.
How should we treat it?
1. Medication. Drug treatment is one of the methods to treat penis cancer. Traditional Chinese medicine mainly uses Chinese herbal medicine with taxus as the main ingredient. Experts pointed out that yew is an endangered anti-cancer plant in the world. It is the only Chinese herbal medicine that can cure cancer in the world at present, and also the only hope and real life-saving straw for cancer patients. It should be noted that its toxicity is high, and it can only be safe and effective if it is compatible with the traditional Chinese medicine to resolve its toxicity. What method is used to treat penis cancer? At present, fluorouracil and cyclophosphamide are the anticancer drugs used in western medicine for penis cancer, but the effect is not significant.
2. Radiotherapy. Radiotherapy can also be used to treat penis cancer. However, there is controversy about the method of radiotherapy for penis cancer, and attention should be paid to the selection. According to experts, bleomycin can be used in combination with x-ray irradiation for early penile cancer with good results.
3. Surgical treatment. What method is used to treat penis cancer? Surgical treatment is the main treatment for penile cancer. Experts pointed out that if the lesion of the patient is limited to the foreskin, the tumor that can be circumcised can invade the penis head, and the partial resection of the penis can also be performed. The tumor is large, and the residual penile pendulum is very short and can not stand to urinate, so it can be treated with total penis resection and urethrovaginostomy.
