Sexual Health
What are the specific ways of transmission of gonorrhea? Gonorrhea is mainly transmitted through these two ways
Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae (hereinafter referred to as gonorrhoea), which is mainly manifested as purulent infection of the Genitourinary system. This is an ancient and common sexually transmitted disease. In recent years, the incidence rate ranks first among sexually transmitted diseases in China. The incidence rate of sexually transmitted diseases in China is also increasing year by year. With the increase in the number of patients with sexually transmitted diseases, personal protection for sexually transmitted diseases is particularly important. In the sex bacteria clinic, it is often found that many patients do not understand the methods and prevention measures of sexual transmission, leading to some people not knowing the methods and prevention measures of sexual transmission.
There are two ways of gonorrhea infection
How are sexually transmitted diseases transmitted? Although many people know the great harm of sexually transmitted diseases and are afraid of contracting them, they simply cannot control their lower body. Some men like to have an affair with their little sister outside and do not pay attention to reproductive health. They have sexual intercourse with their wives at home, so they are easily infected with sexually transmitted diseases. Let's understand how gonorrhea is infected!
Gonorrhea is a pyogenic infection of the Genitourinary system caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Under certain conditions, Neisseria gonorrhoeae can also infect eyes, pharynx, rectum, pelvis and individual systemic infections. The incubation period is generally 2-10 days, with an average of 3-5 days. Urethritis is common in men, such as frequent urination, urgency of urination, painful urination, urethral lipstick, pruritus, and purulent discharge. Women often suffer from Cervicitis, which is characterized by an increase in Vaginal discharge (leucorrhea) and yellowing, but many infected people do not have any conscious symptoms.
1. Infection through sexual contact: mainly through sexual intercourse or other sexual behavior. Almost all male gonorrhea is caused by sexual contact, and female gonorrhea can also be infected through direct sexual infection or other ways. Gonorrhea patients are the source of infection, and sexual contact is the main mode of transmission of gonorrhea. The transmission speed is fast, the infection rate is high, and it can occur within 3-5 days after infection. The main infected individuals are middle-aged and young people.
2. Non sexual contact infection (indirect infection): This kind of infection is rare. The main contact patients contain gonorrhea Diplococcus secretions or contaminated appliances, such as towels, foot cloth basins, quilts, and even toilet circles, which can be infected. Especially women (including children) are vulnerable to infection because of the short urethra and reproductive tract. When a newborn passes through the birth canal of a mother with gonorrhea, the eyes can also cause gonococcal ophthalmia in the newborn. Pregnant women with gonorrhea can cause amniotic cavity infections, including fetal infections.
