4. It is usually accompanied by scrotal skin redness and swelling and hydrocele in the scrotum.
5. The patient has testicular pain and radiative pain in scrotum, thigh root and groin area.
Examination method of epididymitis
1. Testicular self-inspection
Take a hot bath first to relax the scrotum so as to feel the lump and abnormality. During the examination, stand on both feet and feel for lumps or other abnormalities. Normal testicles are ovoid with smooth surface and medium hardness.
2. Urogenital examination
Patients under 35 years old should be identified with testicular torsion. Most cases over 35 years of age are caused by Gram-negative Enterobacteriaceae. These men had pyuria, infected urine, abnormal urinary system or recently accepted urological operation.
3. Chest radiography
Include fluoroscopy or chest film to see if there is lung metastasis.
4. Blood sampling test
The tumor markers human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG, normal value is 5 μ g/L) and alpha-fetoprotein (AFP, normal value is 25 μ g/L), the examination value exceeds the normal value, and further examination should be carried out.
5. Magnetic resonance examination
Epididymitis is diffuse or focal, and the signal of epididymis on T2-weighted image can be the same as or higher than that of testis.
6. Check
The white blood cells are increased, the urine is normal or occasionally there is protein or microscopic hematuria. Epidemic mumps has certain damage to renal function, and special viruses can be detected in urine.
7. Ultrasonic examination
The size, shape and tumorigenesis of testicles can be measured correctly. Especially for patients with cryptorchidism, we can understand the development of testicles and whether they are swollen or malignant.
