What are the benefits of male ligation? Does the husband have a stronger interest in ligating his wife
Male ligation is a once and for all contraceptive method, but many men are concerned that ligation surgery may affect their sexual life. A new study published in the international Journal of Sexual Medicine shows that a husband's ligation not only has no impact on themselves, but also enhances the wife's interest and improves the quality of sexual life for couples.
Researchers in the United States and the United Kingdom conducted a follow-up survey on couples with an average age of 38, two children, and at least 12 years of marriage. The new study evaluated the sexual frequency, libido, arousal, and overall sexual satisfaction of participating couples before and after male ligation surgery through a questionnaire survey. Previously, the most common contraceptive method for couples was oral contraceptives, followed by the use of condoms and female condom. According to the comparison of data before and after ligation, after male ligation, women's sexual desire, arousal, and overall sexual satisfaction significantly improved. Researchers have analyzed that the main reason for this is that women are less stressed and can more easily engage in and enjoy sexual activity after fear of unintended pregnancy.
The number of males undergoing ligation surgery worldwide reaches 100 million, with an expected success rate of over 99%, and minor complications are rare.
