If the body lacks a certain vitamin, can it cause male infertility? A British magazine reported that in order to study the impact of vitamin B on male fertility, researchers from a university in the Netherlands conducted a special study. Find men who have successfully made their partner pregnant and men who have not been able to make their partner pregnant, with about 100 men in each team. Then analyze their semen and blood.
After experiments, it was found that the levels of vitamin B and other trace elements in the blood of the two groups of men were similar, but the number of sperm per milliliter of semen in men with fertility defects was significantly lower than that of normal men, with only about 5 million to 20 million, making it difficult to meet the conditions for a partner to become pregnant.
The researchers then randomly divided the men into four groups and gave the first group zinc sulfate and a placebo supplement; The second group was supplemented with vitamin B and placebo; The third group was supplemented with zinc and vitamin B simultaneously; The fourth group was given two placebos. After 26 weeks of testing, their sperm count was monitored.
The final results show that men who are difficult to conceive their partners have significantly improved their sperm count after taking vitamin B and trace element zinc supplements at the same time, with an average sperm count per person increasing by around 70%, while there is no significant change in the male side of the other groups.
It can be seen that vitamin B plays a positive role in increasing the number of male sperm, so men may as well eat more foods rich in vitamin B in their daily life, such as wheat germ, pork leg, soybeans, peanuts, lining muscles, ham, black rice, chicken liver, germ rice, etc.
Of course, a reasonable diet and proper exercise can not only improve the physical quality of men, enhance their immunity, but also play an important role in preventing male infertility. Therefore, men must pay attention to avoiding some bad living habits and hygiene habits, and try to ensure that their own bodies are in a healthy state.
