Is it true that unfulfilled libido can affect your lifespan, affect your lifespan, and shorten your life? That's too scary. How sexual health experts come to the conclusion that sex is related to lifespan through scientific research.
Dieting can prolong the lifespan of many organisms, and this health preserving effect has been consistently observed in insects, fruit flies, mice, zebrafish, monkeys, and yeast.
Geneticist Scott D. Pletcher, who is currently a professor at the University of Michigan in the United States, led a research team in a 2007 Science paper during his tenure at Baylor School of Medicine in Houston, Texas. The effect of prolonging lifespan is that fruit flies on a diet, tempted by food odors, have shorter lifespans than originally thought! After the Or83b mutation in the olfactory receptor gene, it was found that flies are under pressure and have a longer lifespan. Smell affects the physiology and aging of flies.
But didn't our ancestors talk about food color? If you smell it and cannot eat it, you cannot maintain health. Will it be induced by color? During his PhD program at Baylor Medical College in Taiwan, Guo Chonghan and his PhD supervisor Professor Preacher designed an experiment to discuss this challenging issue. In the scientific paper co authored by Guo Chonghan, they found that dissatisfied fruit flies also become shorter!
When Guo Chonghan studied for his master's degree at Tsinghua University in Taiwan, he studied the relationship between fruit fly pheromones and incipient specialization, and was also interested in studying the impact of pheromones on aging. He said that they had previously tried using color induced male flies to discuss whether female pheromones would affect the lifespan of male fruit flies, but did not obtain significant results. Previous experiments used fine nets to separate male and female fruit flies to avoid mating. However, this method may not be able to expose male fruit flies to sufficient pheromones. Secondly, male fruit flies must use physical contact with sex pheromones to be effective, and the barrier net prevents such contact. The limitations of experimental methods lead to poor results.
