Types of abnormal uterine development, multiple menstrual abnormalities, need to be checked in a timely manner
Uterine dysplasia is a gynecological disease that has a serious impact on female friends. After experiencing abnormal symptoms, we must pay attention, especially in regular hospitals for reasonable examinations.
Types of uterine developmental abnormalities
1. Congenital absence of uterus: the middle segment of the accessory mesonephric duct on both sides is not developed, and the uterus cannot be synthesized. Patients often have no vagina, but their ovaries develop normally and Secondary sex characteristic are not affected.
2. Primordial uterus: also known as trace uterus. This is because the development of the accessory renal ducts on both sides stops shortly after merging. This uterus is small, only 1-3 centimeters long, without endometrium, without menstruation, and often without a vagina.
3. Mediastinal uterus: The accessory renal ducts on both sides are closed, but the mediastinum is not degraded. The appearance of the uterus is normal, and the uterine cavity is divided into two parts. Incomplete degeneration of the mediastinum leads to the formation of an incomplete mediastinal uterus. When the mediastinum extends to the vagina, it can also form a vaginal mediastinum.
4. Dysplasia of uterus: also known as Uterine hypoplasia. After the merger of the accessory mesonephric ducts on both sides, the development stops for a short period of time. The cervix is relatively long, with a smaller outer opening, and the uterus is normally smaller. There are often infertility, Hypomenorrhea or irregular menstruation.
5. Bicornuate uterus: most of the end of the accessory mesonephric tube is fused, and the mediastinum degenerates to form a single cervix and a single vagina. The bottom of the uterus is incomplete, and the outside of the uterus forms a double angle, so it is called Bicornuate uterus or saddle uterus.
6. Unicornuate uterus: one side of the accessory mesonephric duct on both sides is fully developed, and the other side is not fully developed or perforated. It can be a residual horn uterus, which means only the uterine cavity has no uterine opening.
7. Double uterus: Double uterus, double cervix, double vagina. It is because the accessory renal ducts on both sides are not suitable.
Symptoms of abnormal uterine development
1. Menstrual abnormalities: Patients with congenital absence of uterus or primordial uterus have no menstruation. The patients with immature uterus have no menstruation. The patients with double uterus and Bicornuate uterus who have Hypomenorrhea, delayed menstruation, dysmenorrhea, irregular physiological days and other manifestations of menstruation may have excessive menstruation, and the duration of physiological days may be prolonged.
2. Infertility: One of the main causes of infertility is the absence of a uterus, primordial uterus, immature uterus, and other underdeveloped uterine conditions.
3. Pathological pregnancy: Dysplasia of the uterus often leads to miscarriage, premature birth, or abnormal fetal position after pregnancy. Occasionally, spontaneous uterine rupture during pregnancy may occur. If the fallopian tube of the rudimentary horn uterus is unobstructed, the pregnant eggs can be implanted into the rudimentary horn uterus, but the Myometrium is underdeveloped and ruptured during pregnancy, with the same symptoms as Ectopic pregnancy.
