Traditional Chinese massage therapy for benign prostatic hyperplasia
1. Routine massage therapy
(1) Press and knead the Dantian: Lie on your back, press the Dantian with both hands overlapping (Dantian is located 3 inches below the navel), rotate and knead each side for 30 times. Do not use excessive force or speed.
(2) Finger pressing method: Take Zhongji acupoint (2 inches below the navel), Yinlingquan acupoint (in the lacuna directly below the medial ankle of the tibia), and Sanyinjiao acupoint (3 inches above the medial ankle, at the posterior edge of the tibia). Press each acupoint with your fingers for a few minutes, once in the morning and evening.
(3) Rub and press the Huiyin acupoint: Lie on your back and bend your knees to take the acupoints. After rubbing the palms of both hands to warm them, gently massage the Huiyin acupoint with your index finger 20 times, once in the morning and once in the evening.
(4) Rub the center of the foot: After rubbing the palms of both hands hot, rub the left center of the foot with the right palm, and then rub the right center of the foot with the left palm 50 times each. Do it three times in the morning, middle, and evening.
(5) Point pressing method: used under the umbilicus, in the lower abdomen, and above the pubic symphysis from left to right. Gently press once every 1-2 seconds for about 20 consecutive times, but be careful not to use excessive force. For urinary retention caused by prostatic hypertrophy.
2. Waist and Back Massage Therapy
(1) Place both hands behind you, and use the tiger's mouth (first and second metacarpal bones) from below the shoulder blades, along the bladder on both sides of the spine, to the center of the hips. Push and rub slightly up and down for 36 times to reduce heat.
(2) Using both hands at the mouth of the tiger, with the Shenshu point (1.5 inches below the second lumbar spine) as the center, push and rub the waist up and down for 36 times to reduce fever.
(3) Massage the left palm upward from the caudal sacrum along the spine to the middle of the thoracic spine, while massage the right hand downward from the middle of the thoracic spine to the caudal sacrum. When the two hands meet, the upper palm passes through the lower palm. A total of 36 massages were given to reduce fever.
(4) Place your palms together at the eight acupoints (above the lower lumbar and caudal vertebrae, in the first, second, third, and fourth sacral foramen), and quickly push and rub with slight force for 36 times to reduce heat and scald. But be careful not to damage the skin.
The above techniques can promote blood circulation and remove stasis, facilitate the circulation of qi and blood, and alleviate prostate congestion.
