Sexual Health
These fallacies of sex education cannot be mistaken for the misconceptions of adolescent sex education
Chinese sexuality is a new term I coined, referring to unscientific knowledge, unequal rights, negative attitudes and attitudes towards sex that arise from our cultural background. In short, it is derogatory and does not include good sexual and cultural heritage! There is no strict definition, only simplified language expression.
Because in a case yesterday, this issue was highlighted again. A knowledgeable man said, 'You can't have sex when it's thunderstorm or rainy, you can't have sex when it's hiking, you can't have sex when you're upset or angry.'; Women masturbate and harm their bodies because there is no supplement of yang; Masturbation in men will reduce sexual ability, because it is unnecessary to lose semen, the essence of the human body. So it aroused my emotion that I need to write a blog post to discuss it.
The general view of masturbation among Chinese people is vastly different from that of the West. In the context of Western religions, Chinese people who believe that masturbation is a sin have relatively less sense of guilt, and are more inclined to believe in masturbation from the perspective of sexual health. For example, semen is an important carrier of essence, qi, and spirit. Sexual health preservation, yin and yang collection, and the love fluid and semen for both male and female cultivation are extremely yin substances that must be replenished simultaneously. Otherwise, the concept of imbalance between yin and yang will lead to masturbation and health instead! This concept is still very deep today.
It is precisely because of this pedantic concept that people are constrained to explore their own bodies and suppress Libido. Because health is the first priority, the starting point of Chinese sexuality recognizes the important relationship between sex and health, but the conclusion is incorrect, that is, vaginal insertion between non heterosexual individuals is an anti healthy personality and connotation suppressed by the concept of health. In fact, sexual harmony is beneficial to health, not limiting it. The Chinese nature of putting the cart before the horse needs to be corrected. Regarding certain misconceptions in traditional Chinese medicine, education and publicity at the knowledge level is the starting point. Otherwise, Chinese people will continue to adhere to an unscientific medical perspective on sexuality, which makes it difficult to have a change in mindset. Health is considered the most important thing by people, and all unhealthy behaviors need to be corrected or prohibited. Therefore, we must abandon China's anti health theory of sexuality and advocate that sexual health is an important component of overall health, and sexual oppression is an important factor that threatens overall health.
Misunderstanding of Adolescent Sex Education
Misunderstanding 1: School education is already sufficient
Authoritative figures from the World Health Organization have once spoken, stating that when he speaks to some college students in Beijing, many people are still ignorant about sexual issues. According to Durex's 2004 Global Situation Report, the average age of Chinese adolescents receiving sex education for the first time was 13.7 years old, ranking seventh among 41 countries surveyed.
