There are nine types and four characteristics of abnormal uterine development, which are signals
Uterine dysplasia is a manifestation of uterine abnormalities and a disease that we should pay attention to. Uterine dysplasia also has abnormal manifestations, and we must immediately check and diagnose it.
Types of uterine developmental abnormalities
1. Congenital absence of uterus: The middle and tail segments of the accessory mesonephric ducts on both sides are not developed, often accompanied by absence of vagina.
2. Primordial uterus: The primordial uterus, also known as the trace uterus, ceases to develop shortly after the lateral extension of the accessory mesonephric ducts on both sides to the centerline. The uterus is small, without a uterine cavity, uterine cavity, or endometrial growth.
3. Uterine hypoplasia: Uterine hypoplasia is the uterus dysplasia. It can occur during any period from fetal development or birth to adolescence.
4. Residual horn uterus: Most of the residual horn uterus is only connected to the developing side uterus through fiber bundles.
5. Unicornuate uterus: one side of the accessory mesonephric tube is well developed, the well developed Unicornuate uterus is accompanied by normal fallopian tubes, and the other side of the accessory mesonephric tube is poorly developed.
6. Double uterus: There are two independent fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, and vagina, each with a single fallopian tube and ovary, accompanied by a twin cervix and vagina. There are also individuals with double cervix, single cervix, single vagina or double cervix, double cervix, single vagina, with or without vaginal mediastinum.
7. Bicornuate uterus: the fundus of the uterus is not completely fused, and one corner on both sides of the uterus protrudes, which is called Bicornuate uterus. When there is mild incomplete fusion at the bottom of the uterus, it is manifested as mild invagination of the bottom of the uterus into the uterine cavity, with varying degrees, resembling a saddle, hence the name saddle shaped uterus.
8. Septal uterus: The septum divides the uterine cavity into two halves, but the appearance of the uterus is completely normal. The complete separation of the uterine cavity into two parts is called a complete septum, and only a partial septum is called an incomplete septum.
9. Cervical dysplasia: Dysplasia or stagnation of the tail end of the accessory mesonephric duct causes cervical dysplasia, mainly including cervical insufficiency, cervical atresia, congenital cervical stenosis, abnormal cervical angle, congenital cervical elongation, cervical stenosis, double cervix, and other cervical dysplasia.
Symptoms of abnormal uterine development
1. Physiological pain and pain: mainly manifested as secondary and progressive physiological pain. The pain is mostly located in the lower abdomen and lumbosacral region, and can spread to the vagina, perineum, anus, or thighs. It usually starts from 1 to 2 before menstruation, and is most severe on the first day of menstruation, and gradually subsides after menstruation, but it becomes progressively worse with the Menstrual cycle, and the degree of pain is not proportional to the size of the focus.
