According to the Central News Agency, men who enjoy taking hot baths should be careful. According to a three-year latest medical survey, men who frequently take hot baths have a serious impact on the quality and quantity of sperm. It is called on men who plan to "inherit their offspring" to avoid prolonged immersion in hot water.
This study, led by Professor Durrick from the University of California, San Francisco, studied the effects of prolonged exposure to "high humidity and temperature" environments on eleven men who frequently took baths, massage tubs, or hot tubs at least once a week for thirty minutes or more.
Researchers found that after five male participants stopped taking hot baths and other high-temperature activities, the number of sperm insects significantly increased; After three to six months, their active sperm count increased almost fivefold and their motility increased by one-third.
As for the other six individuals, the increase in sperm count was relatively small after stopping taking a hot bath. Due to their smoking habits, researchers suspect that nicotine may also have killed the number and motility of sperm.
Durick pointed out that for decades, it has been widely believed that male exposure to high temperatures has a negative impact on fertility, but few research reports have included this in official research documents.
This research report is published in the Brazilian journal "Urology World". Durek said that prolonged exposure to high temperatures and humid heat is not conducive to "breeding new life" and is worth considering for men who want to be fathers.
