The emergence of ovarian cancer causes special pain to many patients, and it is also a serious disease that poses a serious threat to their physical health and life safety. After experiencing abnormal symptoms, we must promptly check.
Ovarian cancer is the first cancer to die
Among registered residence residents in Beijing, the tumor with the highest incidence rate among women is breast cancer, followed by lung cancer and thyroid cancer. Ovarian cancer ranks seventh, accounting for 3.5% of new cases of malignant tumors among women. It is also cancer, but the 5-year survival time of each type of cancer varies greatly. The 5-year survival rate of female patients with thyroid cancer can reach 92.03%, the 5-year survival rate of breast cancer can reach 84.16%, but the 5-year survival rate of ovarian cancer is only 52.39%. The reason for the high mortality rate of ovarian cancer is firstly related to the deep position of the ovary. The ovary is in the pelvis and abdomen, and the incidence rate of cervical cancer, which is difficult to find in the early stage, is also high. However, the cervical position is shallow, and the breast is in the body surface, so it is easy to find early lesions. Many ovarian cancer patients are found to have an impact on treatment efficacy in the later stages. In addition, ovarian epithelial cancer, which is more common among middle-aged and elderly women, is not sensitive to chemotherapy and even shows resistance. The 5-year survival rate of ovarian cancer patients is 30%; Over the past 30 years, the 5-year survival rate of ovarian cancer patients is less than 40%, mainly due to the late detection of tumors.
Symptoms of ovarian cancer
1. Hypomenorrhea or amenorrhea: many patients with ovarian cancer have no menstrual changes. When normal ovarian tissue is damaged by cancer cells, the patient's general condition is poor, with Hypomenorrhea or amenorrhea.
2. Abdominal distension: Sudden abdominal distension, increased abdominal circumference, ovarian cancer metastasis to the abdominal cavity, causing a large amount of ascites, and enlargement of ovarian cancer mass.
3. Abdominal and low back pain: Ovarian cancer infiltrates surrounding tissues, adheres to adjacent tissues, compresses nerves, and causes abdominal and low back pain. Its nature ranges from dull pain to dull pain, and even severe pain.
4. Unexplained weight loss: Due to the gradual growth of ovarian cancer and the formation of ascites, it can mechanically compress the gastrointestinal tract, causing reduced appetite and indigestion in patients. In addition, cancer cells consume a large amount of nutrients in the human body, causing patients to become increasingly thin, anemic, and powerless, with a dull complexion.
5. Edema of lower limbs and vulva: ovarian cancer grows and is fixed in the pelvic cavity, and can compress pelvic veins, or affect lymphatic return. Over time, patients will have edema of lower limbs and vulva. At this point, we should consider the possibility of ovarian cancer.
