The cystic change of prostate cyst is caused by congenital or acquired causes of prostate. Congenital cyst is the hypoplastic accessory renal duct, which integrates into the central line, forms a deep sleeping chamber and cyst under the bladder, and opens behind the prostate urethra. Acquired cyst is the incomplete or intermittent obstruction of acini caused by the flexible prostatic matrix, which gradually thickens the acinar epithelium and finally causes the accumulation of cyst. It can be located in any part of the prostate or protrude to the bladder neck, with a diameter of 1-2 cm.
Several causes of prostatic cyst
1. True prostatic cyst
The prostate gland is obstructed during the embryonic development period, resulting in the stricture of the prostate duct, obstruction, and gradual retention of the contents. Therefore, it is a retention prostate cyst.
2. Congenital cyst
The mesonephron duct and paranephron duct developed abnormally, and part of the lumen expanded to form cysts. Cysts originating from the pararenal duct are usually located in the posterior center of the prostate, and cysts originating from the mesorenal duct are located on both sides. This cyst is not actually prostate, but adhesion with the posterior wall of bladder. Its volume is often large, and it is difficult to urinate by pressing the bladder neck, and pressing the rectum causes anal distension and defecation difficulty. Congenital prostatic cysts are often accompanied by congenital diseases such as hypospadias, cryptorchidism, and renal hypoplasia.
3. Acquired cyst
Because of the tough prostate matrix, the acinar is incomplete or intermittent infarction, the acinar skin thickens, and finally a retention cyst occurs, which can protrude from the neck of any part of the prostate, with a diameter of 1~2cm.
4. Inflammatory cyst
It is the chronic inflammation of the prostate that causes the hyperplasia of connective tissue, the stricture of the prostate duct and the accumulation of secretion that cause the cyst.
5. Parasitic cyst
Caused by parasites, such as hydatid can cause chronic inflammation in and around the prostate tube; Or by granulation proliferation, gradually forming cysts.
