Sometimes the uterus can also shrink and become smaller, and patients may experience symptoms such as hot flashes, irritability, sweating, and excitement. Some patients may also experience insomnia and other feelings, and menstruation stops before the age of 40. The vast majority of patients experience a period of menstrual disorder before entering continuous amenorrhea.
