Nipple recession is related to three factors, and four measures can be taken to prevent it
Breasts are an important part of women, not only responsible for breastfeeding, but also play a beautiful role. Breasts also have abnormalities in daily life, including nipple recession.
The cause of nipple retraction
1. Primary inverted nipple
(1) Smooth muscle dysplasia. The nipple has 15-20 openings for milk ducts, with smooth muscle fibers surrounding the ducts. The nipple is surrounded by the ducts and the muscle fiber bundles inserted into the dermal layer of the nipple stretch inward. The texture of these muscle bundles is significantly different from that of the ducts.
(2) Dysplasia of the milk duct. Incompletely developed milk ducts cannot be ducted.
(3) Insufficient support of the supporting tissue under the nipple.
2. Secondary inverted nipple
(1) Disease. Invaded ducts, ligaments, and fascia contract.
(2) Malignant breast tumors. Women with normal breasts should undergo mammography and other examinations to check for the presence of malignant breast tumors if there is no obvious cause of nipple retraction.
(3) Breast surgery. When applying dermal pedicle in Mammaplasty, nipple invagination can also be caused due to tension and scar contraction.
3. Other common reasons
(1) The clothes are too tight. Women's underwear is too tight during the period of breast development, which easily leads to Inverted nipple.
(2) Improper use of bras. Bras that are too small, too tight, or used too early can cause Inverted nipple to sag.
(3) Related to genetics. In clinical observation, mothers and their mothers' generation, grandmothers have a history of Inverted nipple, and the possibility of Inverted nipple in the next generation is higher than that of normal people.
Prevent nipple retraction
1. Pulling nipples: If there is nipple retraction in direct relatives such as mothers and aunts, it must be a key prevention object. After the birth of a girl with genetic predisposition, the mother can gently pull the girl's nipple 1-2 times a day. The movements should be soft, and it is best for experienced operators to effectively avoid nipple retraction.
2. Choose cotton underwear: The clothes you wear must be made of cotton and should be regularly washed and exposed to sunlight. If there are signs of red cracks in the nipples, the underwear should be steamed and disinfected. Girls should not wear bras too early.
3. The bra should be worn appropriately: the underwear and bra should not be too tight. For girls with large breasts, more attention should be paid to breast relaxation. Timely correct girls with prone habits to prevent nipples from being squeezed and worsening nipple retraction.
