Is uterine leukoplakia necessarily a precursor of cancer? How to do medical examination for uterine leukoplakia
The appearance of cervical leukoplakia worries many women. It is indeed a disease that we should pay attention to, but we must have scientific basis for the precursors of cancer.
Is cervical leukoplakia cancer
Cervical leukoplakia is generally a symptom of cervical cancer or precancerous stage, but relevant research is still being carried out, which is not necessarily cancer, but has nothing to do with cancer. Patients suffering from cervical leukoplakia must pay attention to it, and timely prevent and check
Is cervical leukoplakia infected
Generally speaking, if it is a simple cervical leukoplakia, there will be no obvious symptoms, and the damage will be small. When cervical erosion and the outer side of the cervix are combined, the leucorrhea will increase, and the bloody secretion will appear in the vagina or contact bleeding. Local stimulation, endocrine disorders, etc. may cause cervical leukoplakia.
Cervical leukoplakia is not contagious, so female patients must reduce their psychological burden. Usually, the white spots seen by the naked eye only indicate different degrees of epithelial hyperplasia. Cervical leukoplakia is a benign disease, so it is generally necessary to conduct surgery and timely treatment after excluding cervical malignant disease, and conduct pathological continuous section examination to determine whether there is early cervical cancer.
Symptoms of cervical leukoplakia
1. The surface of cervical leukoplakia is grayish white or only slightly brighter than the surrounding pink mucosa. Some edges are neat, with clear boundaries, and some are irregular. It is easy to wipe off the surface of the leukoplakia with a cotton swab, and the bottom presents spot bleeding
2. Simple cervical leukoplakia has no symptoms, but if it is combined with cervical erosion or cervical endometriosis, leucorrhea increases, and vaginal bleeding or contact bleeding occurs. What are the early symptoms of cervical leukoplakia? Cervical vitiligo is generally of different sizes and shapes, and the focus is small, with a diameter of no more than 1 cm. It can occur alone or in multiple cases. In individual cases, vitiligo can exceed the cervix and reach the vaginal dome.
Cervical leukoplakia examination
1. Local examination: The white spot area can be found by local observation of the cervix, but the naked eye cannot recognize the lesions with incomplete keratosis.
2. Microscopic examination: It is much easier to observe the cervical lesions with magnifying glass than to observe the white spots of the cervix with naked eyes.
3. The characteristics seen under the microscope are as follows: (1) The surface of the white spot appears hyperkeratosis or incomplete keratosis. (2) Hypertrophy of epithelial cells and thickening of spinous cell layer. (3) The thickened epithelial foot of particle cell layer is extended and expanded. (4) Round cells and lymphocytes were infiltrated in the epithelial layer.
