To some extent, men's aging begins with the prostate gland. The body is still very strong, but when urinating, there is already a feeling of endless dripping, even slight pain, which is an alarm issued by the prostate.
The earliest signs of aging in men
The incidence rate of BPH will increase with age. According to a survey, more than 40% of men over the age of 50 in China suffer from this disease. Over the age of 80, 80% of people will develop hyperplasia. It is recommended that as long as you are over 50, you should go to the urology department of a regular hospital every year to conduct a risk screening for prostate hyperplasia, so as to detect the traces of the disease as soon as possible.
Frequent urination is the earliest manifestation
Prostatic hyperplasia, formerly known as hypertrophy of the prostate, is one of the common diseases in elderly men and is a benign lesion of the prostate. Prostatic hyperplasia is traceable, and its early manifestations are as follows.
Frequency of urination: Frequency of urination is the earliest manifestation, first at night, then during the day. In the later stage, the effective volume of the bladder decreases, which also makes frequency of urination more severe.
Dysuria: Progressive dysuria is a prominent feature, and symptoms can be divided into two types: obstruction and irritation; Obstructive symptoms include hesitation in urination, intermittent urination, terminal dripping, thin and weak urine lines, and incomplete urination. Stimulating symptoms include frequent urination, excessive nocturnal urination, urgency, and pain in urination. Symptoms can be exacerbated by cold, alcohol consumption, use of anticholinergics, or psychiatric drugs. Long term obstruction can lead to uremic symptoms such as fatigue, lethargy, nausea, and vomiting.
Hematuria: Capillaries on the prostate mucosa become congested and small blood vessels dilate, causing rupture and bleeding due to the filling and contraction of the bladder. Hematuria can also occur in patients with bladder tumors.
How to Prevent Prostatic Hyperplasia
*Adhering to physical exercise, especially local exercises, can promote blood flow in the perineum, such as doing more abdominal exercises and anal exercises. The method is to follow your own independent breathing, contracting your lower abdomen and anus as you inhale, and relaxing as you exhale. Do it a hundred times in a row, each morning and afternoon.
*It is not advisable to sit and ride a bicycle for a long time to avoid obstructed blood flow in the prostate.
*Eat an appropriate amount of eggs, beef, seed foods, such as walnuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, etc.
*Drink alcohol sparingly. Excessive drinking will cause prostate congestion and lead to urinary retention.
