How to protect the health of eggs and testicles in adolescence? Pay attention to three kinds of testicular diseases
1. Inflammation of testis: it is important to prevent mumps
Compared with testicular inflammation, mumps is undoubtedly a minor disease in the eyes of parents. "It's just a common respiratory virus infection. After a few days of isolation at home, it's still a healthy child after the swelling subsides." But do you know? The virus that causes parotitis is not only harmful to the parotid gland, but also the enemy of the spermatogenic epithelium of the testis, which will hinder the production of sperm. Many children with parotitis are accompanied by testicular swelling and inflammation. Once spermatogenesis obstacle occurs, it is difficult to recover and reverse.
Suggestion: In the process of children's growth, we should pay attention to improving the resistance and preventing the occurrence of mumps and orchitis. If you suffer from mumps or orchitis, you should actively treat it as soon as possible, and control the disease as soon as possible, so that the spermatogenic function can be guaranteed. Children who have had orchitis should be careful of recurrence, especially in the first month or two after the disease is cured.
2. Small testicular size: early treatment is needed for delayed development
By puberty, the boy's secondary sexual characteristics will gradually appear, the voice will become thicker, the beard will increase, the larynx will protrude, and the genitals will also increase significantly. This is a normal physiological change. However, some boys seem to change very slowly, or always look like they haven't grown up. Their skin is white and tender, their throat is small, their voice is sharp and thin, and their genitals are small. If the secondary sexual characteristics do not change during puberty, there may be a problem of delayed development, and the probability of infertility after adulthood is quite high.
3. Cryptorchidism: check in time after birth
After the birth of the son, the whole family was ecstatic and thought about the food, clothing, housing and transportation of the child very carefully, but they might forget to see if the child's genitals were normal. Male specialists said that some boys were born with testicles not in the scrotum, but in the groin or peritoneal peritoneum, which is called "cryptorchidism".
The most dangerous part of cryptorchidism is in the retroperitoneum of the abdominal cavity, which is deep in position and high in temperature, and has a great impact on the development of the testis. If you don't find it all the time, it will be difficult for the testicles to grow up, and it may only be the size of peanuts in adulthood. Although the sexual function is not affected, under the long-term high-temperature 'baking', the cool-loving spermatogenic epithelium is seriously damaged, and the fertility rate will be lost. If the cryptorchidism is located in the groin, it will face the risk of trauma. Because the testicle is not active, the child may crush the testicle when lying on the ground, resulting in testicular rupture and bleeding, which will also affect fertility.
Suggestion: boys should check their genitals in time after birth. After cryptorchidism is found, gonadotropin can be injected first to let the testicles fall into the scrotum naturally. If not, it is better to have surgery before the age of 2, and the spermatogenesis function will not be affected. At the age of 2-5, it is also time to have surgery, which can save most of the spermatogenic function. If you are over 5 years old and have bilateral cryptorchidism, it will be difficult to have children in adulthood.
Every time we interview in the infertility or reproductive clinic, we can see many young men seeking medical advice. The reason is nothing more than heredity, disease, bad living habits and drugs, which have long been familiar to everyone. In fact, boys may suffer testicular damage due to various reasons during their growth, and many people will become infertile after adulthood. In this regard, parents must be highly vigilant.
Suggestion: Once the symptom is found, you should go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible, which may be related to chromosome and gonadotropin. Early treatment after diagnosis is of great help to improve the possibility of fertility.
