How do men check their penis and testicles?
Sexual organ disease is undoubtedly the most headache for men. Going to the hospital regularly for physical examination is a good way to deal with it, but because of the face barrier, who wants to go to the andrology and urology department again and again. However, the root of male life (penis and testicle) highlights the convenience of self-inspection. When taking a bath or changing clothes, you may find abnormalities by looking or touching. At this time, I went to the hospital to see a doctor, saving the trouble of round-trip.
1. During self-inspection of the penis, first of all, check whether there are ulcer, blister, swelling, meat lump and other foreign matters on its surface, contact the glans to see whether it is smooth, contact the penis, and feel whether there is induration. In addition, open the foreskin regularly to observe whether the joint between the penis and the glans is clean and whether there is dirt. If there is dirt, it needs to be cleaned.
2. When checking the testicles, first pay attention to the size of the testicles. The volume of adult testicles should be more than 8 ml, while the average size of Chinese testicles is 12 ml. If adult testicles are less than 8 ml, it may be testicular atrophy. When a boy is 10 years old, the testicular volume should generally reach 4 ml, and less than 4 ml should be considered abnormal.
Next, examine the testicles by touch. In normal state, the testicle has smooth surface, rich texture, no tenderness, and clear boundary with the testicle. If the testis is found to be enlarged in a short time without touching pain, it may be testicular cancer; If the testicle is painful under the touch, it indicates that the testicle is inflamed; If the scrotum is enlarged and the testicles and testicles cannot be touched, it may be hydrocele of the tunica vaginalis, that is, hydrocele of the scrotum; If the testicle is painful and swollen, it indicates that the testicle is diseased.
In addition, if there is swelling or pain in the scrotum and testicles, the symptoms will worsen when standing for a long time or walking for a long time, and the symptoms will reduce or disappear when lying down, which may be varicocele. Typical varicocele can see twisted and dilated veins under the scrotal skin; Or when you touch it with your hand, you can feel the worm-like expansion of blood vessels. Primary varicocele can shrink or disappear after lying flat. If the symptoms have not improved under the condition of lying flat, it may be caused by tumor and other diseases. Once the above symptoms appear, it is best to go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible.
