How long can pregnancy be measured after sexual intercourse? Can pregnancy be achieved within 10 days after sexual intercourse
1. How long can pregnancy be detected after sexual activity
After one day of fertilization, it takes a certain amount of time for the discharged eggs to reach the ampulla of the fallopian tube, where they wait for sperm. Generally, it takes about 10 hours, which means fertilization occurs within 12 hours after ovulation; The moment when sperm and egg meet to fertilize is called fertilization. The process of combining sperm and egg for fertilization itself takes about 12 hours, which means that the entire fertilization process needs to be completed 24 hours after ovulation.
During 7-8 days of pregnancy, it takes 7-8 days for the Zygote to swim from the abdominal wall of the fallopian tube to the uterus and implant into the mother, which is called pregnancy. So it takes at least 7-8 days from fertilization to pregnancy, but it will not exceed 9-10 days, because if it exceeds 10 days, the corpus luteum will shrink, Progestogen will withdraw, and menstruation will come again.
HCG is produced 7 days after fertilization, and the egg begins to secrete HCG on the 6th day after fertilization. It can generally be detected 11 days later. During early pregnancy, the secretion of HCG increases rapidly, doubling in about 1.7-2 days, while normal non pregnant women cannot detect HCG in their urine. Therefore, detecting HCG in urine is a reliable indicator for determining pregnancy. If you are just pregnant, using morning urine is more accurate. Generally, a check-up can determine whether you are pregnant after two weeks.
2. What is pregnancy
Pregnancy refers to the presence of one or more fetuses or embryos in the body of mammalian females (including humans). Human pregnancy is the most detailed study in mammals. The duration of human pregnancy from the last menstrual period to delivery is approximately 40 weeks (38 weeks from ovulation). Delivery is a term for production. Many societies and laws divide pregnancy into three stages. There is a high probability of miscarriage in the early stages of pregnancy. From the mid-term onwards, the fetus develops to the point where it can be tracked and monitored. In the later stage, the fetus begins to have the ability to survive outside the mother's body.
3. Basic temperature measurement during pregnancy
After waking up every morning, lie in bed and measure your body temperature, which is called basal body temperature. Generally, the body temperature before ovulation is below 36.5 degrees. After ovulation, Progestogen rises, which acts on the body temperature center to raise the body temperature by 0.3-0.5 degrees. If the egg fails to be fertilized, Progestogen drops and the temperature returns to normal about a week later; If you are pregnant, Progestogen remains at a high level, which keeps your body temperature at a high level. The phenomenon of high temperature curve in basal body temperature lasting for more than 18 days can generally confirm early pregnancy. Additionally, it should be noted that X-rays cannot be used to diagnose early pregnancy. Because only after 18-20 weeks of pregnancy can fetal bone shadows be seen on X-ray films, and X-ray can damage the fetus during early pregnancy.
