How long can I have a child after fallopian tube imaging? What are the precautions for salpingography
How long can I have a child after fallopian tube imaging?
Salpingography examination uses contrast media. Depending on the type of contrast agent, the type of pregnancy varies.
Iodine water contrast agent can be used to conceive before the next menstrual period; 2. Pregnancy can occur in the same month during B-ultrasound monitoring and imaging; 3. Iodophor contrast agent, due to the long residual time in the body, it is recommended to prepare for pregnancy after 2-3 months.
Salpingography checks the shape of the uterine cavity, fallopian tubes, and the patency of the fallopian tubes. At present, the most common method is X-ray hysterosalpingography (HSG). In recent years, the application of ultrasound hysterosalpingography has gradually increased, and our center is three-dimensional ultrasound hysterosalpingography.
The main step of hysterosalpingography is to insert a double lumen single sac catheter into the cervical canal through the vagina, and inject contrast agent X to observe the flow of contrast agent through the uterine cavity and fallopian tubes online or under ultrasound. Due to the need for surgery to enter the uterine cavity through the vagina and cervix, there is a risk of infection and bleeding. Salpingography should not be performed within 6 weeks after pregnancy, menstruation, abnormal uterine bleeding, postpartum, miscarriage, and curettage. Patients with reproductive system inflammation and severe systemic diseases should not undergo salpingography. In addition, there are other preventive measures before and after salpingography.
What are the precautions for salpingography?
Preparation before imaging:
1. Sexual activity is prohibited before surgery, and pregnancy is ruled out within 3-7 days after menstruation is clean.
2. Leucorrhea examination eliminates inflammation of the reproductive system.
3. Atropine can be injected half an hour before surgery to relieve spasms and prevent cervical stimulation leading to cardiovascular syndrome or tubal spasm
4. Iodine allergy test should be conducted using iodine oil contrast agent.
Precautions after angiography:
1. Iodine contrast agents may be allergic to dizziness, rash, nausea, vomiting, breathing difficulties, and require immediate medical attention.
2. Sexual activity and bathing are prohibited during the month of imaging, and oral antibiotics are taken to prevent infection, such as fever, lower abdominal pain, and abnormal vaginal discharge.
Mild lower abdominal pain and a small amount of vaginal bleeding are normal. If severe abdominal pain or vaginal bleeding exceeds menstrual flow, there may be uterine perforation and cervical laceration.
In addition to examination, salpingography also has a slight effect on clearing the fallopian tubes. After the angiography, pregnancy preparation can be carried out under the guidance of the reproductive department. If the fallopian tubes are unobstructed, it is possible to actively try pregnancy.
