There is no clear standard for the classification of prostatitis, and we have no clear understanding of it. According to the classification method of prostatitis formulated in 1999, prostatitis is divided into acute and chronic bacterial prostatitis and non-bacterial prostatitis and prostatalgia according to the condition of 10 ml urine in the early stage after semen, prostate fluid or prostate massage.
Past classification of prostatitis: acute and chronic bacterial prostatitis; Nonbacterial prostatitis; Prostate pain.
In 1999, the new classification method of prostatitis was recommended. According to the condition of semen, prostate fluid or initial 10 ml urine after prostate massage, prostatitis was divided into:
(1) Acute bacterial prostatitis (type I): Acute bacterial infection occurs.
(2) Chronic recurrent bacterial infection occurs in chronic prostatitis (type II).
(3) Chronic pelvic pain syndrome (type iii): chronic non-bacterial prostatitis and prostate pain.
(1) Inflammatory type (IIIA): There are white blood cells in the initial 10 ml urine after semen, prostate fluid or prostate massage.
(2) Non-inflammatory type (iiiib): There are no white blood cells in 10 ml urine at the beginning of semen, prostate fluid or prostate massage.
(In addition to the three types of prostatitis described above, there is another very important one that is easy to be ignored by us. It is asymptomatic inflammatory prostatitis (type iv), which we generally do not encounter. This disease is also hidden, without clear pain, it is difficult to find, without symptoms. There are white cells in prostate fluid found during prostate biopsy and other examinations, and it is occasionally diagnosed.
