How do women use contraception during sexual intercourse? What are the correct contraceptive methods
There are various contraceptive methods nowadays, and the physiological structures of men and women are different, and the contraceptive methods used also vary greatly. Women should choose appropriate contraceptive methods to reduce harm to their bodies.
What are the methods of female contraception?
1. Safe period contraception
Safe period contraception refers to using the menstrual cycle to calculate and master the ovulation period. The non ovulatory period, also known as the safe period, is when ovulation does not occur and sperm and eggs cannot meet, thus achieving contraceptive purposes. Women who are suitable for menstrual cycle patterns should not use this method if they do not have a good grasp of the menstrual cycle.
2. Vaginal diaphragm contraception
The vaginal septum is also called the diaphragm. Putting it into the vagina and covering the cervix before each sexual activity can prevent sperm from entering the uterine cavity, achieving contraceptive effects. Vaginal diaphragm is made of latex film, with spring coil around the edge, soft and elastic. But before using this method of contraception, a gynecological examination is required. It cannot be used for women with genital inflammation, vaginal malformations, uterine prolapse, or allergies to rubber. In addition, women with habitual constipation cannot use the vaginal septum, because too much feces in the rectum will change the shape of the back vault of the vagina and affect the placement of the vaginal septum.
3. Contraceptive pills
The use of short-term or long-term contraceptives can inhibit gonadotropin releasing factors, control gonadotropin secretion, and thus inhibit ovarian ovulation function. Although taking contraceptive pills does not ovulate, the ovaries can quickly restore ovulation function after stopping the medication during menstruation.
4. Intrauterine device
The intrauterine device is a contraceptive ring placed in the uterine cavity, which can stimulate the endometrium to produce non bacterial inflammation, increase the blood vessels on the surface of the endometrium, and generate a large number of phagocyte, which is not conducive to the implantation of zygote. In addition, phagocyte can also engulf sperm or dissolve zygote, ultimately achieving the purpose of contraception.
5. Tubal ligation
Tubal ligation is a traumatic surgery that is simple and safe to operate. It involves ligating a portion of the fallopian tubes to prevent sperm and eggs from combining. This method is suitable for women who have a history of childbirth and plan to no longer have children. However, women with hypertension, abnormal liver and kidney, tuberculosis, heart disease and who have had two caesarean sections should not use this method of contraception.
