(1) Recurrence
The cure standard of Genital wart is that the wart body disappears. Generally speaking, the absence of recurrent warts within 3 months after treatment is a basic cure. Before treatment, all patients with Genital wart should undergo vinegar white test to determine the range of lesions, especially Subclinical infection lesions, so as to reduce recurrence.
(2) Reinfection
If you have Genital wart, you should check the spouse or Sexual partner of the patient. Otherwise, the patient may become infected again.
(3) Treatment of male urethral genital warts
It is suggested that the wound should be healed after several days of carbon dioxide laser or photodynamic therapy (pDT), and fluorouracil solution (250mg/10ml injection) should be applied externally to the urethral orifice 1-2 times a day.
(4) Treatment of female patients with Genital wart
The endoscope should be combined with vinegar white test to check for infection of the cervical epithelium. Chronic infection with HpV16 and 18 can lead to atypical hyperplasia of cervical epithelium and even cervical cancer. Therefore, it is necessary to treat cervical Genital wart in time, including Subclinical infection.
(5) Tracking treatment
1. For patients who have been basically cured, it is recommended to use topical drugs such as interferon ointment and 5% imiquimod cream with minimal local irritation and no obvious adverse reactions. The above topical drugs can be used once a day or every other day, continuously for 2-3 months.
2. Patients with Genital wart should be followed up regularly after cure, usually once every 2-4 weeks, lasting for 3 months. The acetic acid white test should be conducted at each follow-up. Patients should avoid sexual activity until fully cured.
(6) Prevention
1. Keep oneself clean and avoid extramarital sexual behavior.
2. Promote the use of condoms.
3. Genital wart should be treated in time, and the sexual partner or spouse should go to the hospital for examination at the same time.
4. Patients' underwear, bath towels, etc. should be used separately and disinfected carefully.
