Reasons for delayed menstruation in young girls
1. Pregnancy: Generally, pregnancy can be tested 7 days after cohabitation. If a woman of childbearing age has had sexual intercourse before and her menstruation is delayed by more than a week, consider whether she is pregnant. There are many ways to determine whether you are pregnant, often using early pregnancy test strips. To accurately determine whether you are pregnant, you can go to the hospital for a blood HCG test.
2. Drug factors: Studies have shown that prolonged use of contraceptives, emergency contraceptives, gastric motility drugs, drugs for treating hyperthyroidism, and traditional Chinese medicine Tripterygium wilfordii glycosides have been delayed. For medications that may cause delayed menstruation, they must be taken reasonably under the guidance of a doctor, while excluding treatment needs.
3. Psychological factors: Delayed menstruation is often associated with mental stress. If a woman is overly mentally stressed or under excessive work pressure, her menstrual cycle will be delayed, causing physical pain and amenorrhea. Some women may experience abdominal distension, low back pain, and other symptoms during physiological days, so everything is normal and there is no need to be too nervous.
4. Disease impact: Menstrual status is related to women's health. Diseases such as cervical adhesions, premature ovarian failure, polycystic ovary syndrome, thyroid dysfunction, chronic hepatitis, tumors, and severe iron deficiency anemia can lead to delayed menstruation.
