Vulvar eczema is a common gynecological disease, and its occurrence has a serious impact. We must pay attention to psychology and actively treat it.
Harm of external genital eczema
1. The acute phase mainly manifests as severe itching and diffuse redness of the external genitalia, with multiple forms of skin damage without obvious boundaries.
2. Accompanying itching can lead to secondary vaginal infection after scraping, with local redness and small pus spots appearing in individual rash centers.
3. There is lichen like sclerosis with clear boundaries, and the surface often has furfural like scales. It is hard to touch or has moist scabs, and in severe cases, it can cause cracking. There is pain during movement, and due to blood scabs and pigmentation, the skin appears brown or depigmented.
4. Female genital eczema often occurs in the labia minora and sulcus of the genitalia. The course of the disease is variable, the onset is irregular, and the symptoms are not obvious. Severe itching occurs when bedtime or mental stress occurs.
5. Skin lesions: Eczema in the external genitalia can cause deep wrinkles, hypertrophy, dryness, and hardness of the affected skin, causing spots and dandruff, and even erosion.
6. Prolonged repetition: This disease is prone to recurrence and difficult to cure, which has a significant impact on the patient's psychology.
Treatment of Vulvar Eczema
1. General treatment: general treatment should investigate the cause as far as possible, including indigestion, intestinal parasites, diabetes, mental and neurological abnormalities and other adverse stimuli. Keep the perineum clean and dry, do not use soap to clean skin damage, and do not apply irritating antipruritic drugs. Avoid various protein allergenic foods such as excessive fatigue and mental stress.
2. Local treatment: Mainly for local treatment, use physiological saline cold and wet compress in the acute phase. Apply zinc oxide ointment when erythema, blisters, and exudation are not obvious. When there is no exudate or pustules, 1% phenol containing calamine lotion can be used for external washing. When there is obvious exudate, 3% boric acid solution with a ratio of 1:8000 to 1:5000 can be used for cold and wet compress. If erosion occurs, compound copper sulfate solution should be used for external washing to prevent inflammation and convergence; When secondary bacterial and fungal infections occur, corresponding antibacterial and antifungal ointments such as 0.5% neomycin ointment, 2% oxytetracycline, and zinc oxide ointment can be selected for application. 0.1% ethacridine (rivanol) solution can be used for wet application during the scab formation period. In addition, triamcinolone acetonide acetate (triamcinolone acetonide) cream, fluoxetine cream, and other products can be applied to relieve itching and maintain dryness.
Nursing for Eczema of the Vulva
1. Keep the genital area clean. This is crucial for both prevention and treatment. Girls and children can rinse their genitals with low concentration potassium permanganate water. Wash the external genitalia frequently and change underwear.
2. At night, the perineum should be exposed and ventilated, such as sleeping naked.
3. Rinse the affected area with 150 milliliters of rice vinegar (do not use vinegar) once a night. In the first few days, there may be a tingling sensation, which can disappear on its own in the future.
4. For those with local moisture and swelling, the Shengji Powder can be applied to the affected area. For those with local dryness, the Shengji Powder Fragrant Oil can be applied to the affected area.
5. Salted vegetables, mustard, radish, and cucumbers can all be finely ground with charcoal, adjusted with sesame oil, and applied to the affected area.
6. Apply Quyansong Cream or Fuxin Ointment with Pearl Cream to the affected area once a night.
