Sexual Health
Does the age of the onset of prostate disease matter? What age group is prone to prostate disease
As the main accessory gonad of men, the prostate will have different diseases at different stages of development. From the youth to the old age, the incidence rate of prostate diseases increases rapidly, but according to the different stages, the types of incidence are also different.
Childhood
Prostate develops slowly and has less incidence, but acute and chronic prostatitis and other diseases can also occur, with a low incidence rate.
Youth
The diseases prone to prostate disease are mainly acute and chronic prostatitis. The reason is that the young and middle-aged period is a period of vigorous male function, with frequent sexual activities, and the stimulation of sexual excitement is easy to cause repeated hyperemia of the prostate, causing inflammation. Secondly, the prime period is the most vigorous period of prostate secretion, which provides good conditions for the growth of bacteria. If you do not pay attention to personal hygiene, the body resistance is low or other parts are infected, the pathogen can enter the prostate and form acute and chronic inflammation. According to domestic statistics, the prevalence of prostatitis is the highest among young adults, and the number of prostatitis patients in urban hospitals accounts for about 25% to 30% of male patients.
Old age
Testicular function degenerates, hormone level decreases, incidence rate of prostatitis decreases, and incidence rate of benign prostatic hyperplasia increases significantly. The incidence rate of the disease is very high in Europe and the United States, while the incidence rate is relatively low in China, but it tends to increase rapidly in recent years.
