In terms of etiology classification of prostatitis, chronic non-bacterial prostatitis belongs to one kind of non-bacterial prostatitis. In addition, non-bacterial prostatitis also includes prostate pain.
The bacterial culture results of prostate fluid from patients with chronic abacterial prostatitis and prostatodynia are negative, but the difference is that a large number of inflammatory cells can be found in prostate fluid from patients with chronic abacterial prostatitis, while the results of routine examination of prostate fluid from patients with prostatodynia are generally normal. However, some people believe that there is no reason to distinguish prostate pain from chronic non-bacterial prostatitis, because patients with prostate pain can sometimes see a large number of white blood cells in prostate fluid.
The clinical manifestations of chronic non-bacterial prostatitis are not very similar to the prostatalgia with the same etiology, but rather have many similarities with chronic bacterial prostatitis, which can be divided into the following four symptoms:
1. Irritating symptoms of urination, such as frequent urination, urgency, pain in urination, burning sensation of urination, etc.
2. Obstructive symptoms of urination, such as difficulty in urination, thin urine line, hesitation in urination, endless urination, dripping urine, etc.
3. Pain symptoms not related to urination are manifested as swelling pain and dull pain with unclear location, which can be found in the perineum, suprapubic, perianal, scrotum, inner thigh root, penis and other parts.
4. Mental symptoms, including dizziness, memory loss, anxiety, paranoia, insomnia, depression, etc., and excessive sensitivity to physical discomfort and pain. The above symptoms may be complete when the patient sees a doctor, but more often the patient sees a doctor based on a certain symptom.
