Analysis of the specific causes of precocious puberty in children: manifestations of precocious puberty in boys and girls
Children's precocious puberty has become more and more common recently. In the blood circulation, due to the role of estrogen and androgen, the development of children with Secondary sex characteristic before the age of 10 can be called precocious puberty. The breasts of girls increased before the age of 8, the pubic hair and axillary hair increased before the age of 9, the penis increased before the age of 10, and the testicles of boys who exceeded the normal development level suddenly increased before the age of 10, the penis increased, the laryngeal node protruded, the voice was low, the axillary hair increased, the sweat glands and Sebaceous gland increased, and the first ejaculation
There are three types of precocious puberty: true precocious puberty, false precocious puberty, and incomplete precocious puberty.
Genuine precocious puberty: refers to that the gonad development and maturity are in the same pace as the appearance of the Secondary sex characteristic, both of which are relatively early. It is caused by the premature activation and hyperfunction of the hypothalamic pituitary ovarian axis, the regulatory system in the body that manages youth development. The male to female ratio of true precocious puberty is 1:8, with girls being higher than boys.
Pseudoprecocious puberty: the development of the Secondary sex characteristic is not consistent with the development of the gonad. The testes and ovaries themselves are not developed, but some Secondary sex characteristic appear in advance. The causes are relatively clear. The following thalamus, Pineal gland, ovary, Adrenal cortex, chorionic epithelium and other parts of the tumor or viral meningitis sequelae cause a large amount of sex hormone secretion. In addition, due to exogenous hormones mistakenly taking birth control pills, taking hormone containing supplements, and using hormone containing cosmetics, children may experience pseudo precocious puberty.
Specific causes of precocious puberty in children
1. The accelerating trend of growth and development. Due to the improvement of living standards, nutrition, disease reduction and other factors, this generation of children's sexual development and Sexual maturity are ahead of schedule.
2. The impact of environmental pollution. According to foreign literature reports, substances and their decomposition products discharged into the environment from washing, pesticide, and plastic industries can produce environmental hormone pollutants. It has been found that these pollutants have estrogenic activity and are absorbed through water sources, food, and skin, becoming a promoting factor for pseudoprecocious and true precocious puberty.
3. Ingestion of food or medication containing sex hormones. Now many parents give their children ginseng, Royal jelly, pollen, chicken embryo, silkworm chrysalis and other items containing a lot of sex hormones.
4. The influence of social and psychological factors. For example, television, movies, newspapers, magazines, and other content related to sex have significantly increased compared to before, and some children can be exposed to behavioral images beyond their psychological age through movies.
