Why are there more and more extramarital affairs? Which type of man is prone to extramarital affairs
Today, with the increasing number of extramarital affairs and extramarital sex, it is necessary for us to explore and exchange views on this phenomenon at different levels. Domestic and international research data consistently indicate that men and women have different motivations and ways of engaging in extramarital affairs. However, due to differences in personality traits, personal and social capital, different people also have different opportunities for extramarital affairs. In this issue, we conducted a detailed and accurate questionnaire survey and in-depth analysis on various attitudes of men and women. We have consulted experts and reviewed some materials, and cannot be said to provide a comprehensive analysis and perspective for the people most prone to extramarital affairs, but to seek truth. Let's take a look at the mentality of extramarital love first.
Approaching Men
We analyzed the characteristics of divorce caused by extramarital affairs and third-party involvement, and found that there are mainly the following characteristics: firstly, the majority of plaintiffs are women, accounting for over 60%; Second, 51% of the people who divorce because of extramarital affairs have premarital sex; Thirdly, the majority of unmarried young people act as third parties, accounting for 46%, 39% are married, and 15% are divorced or widowed; Fourthly, the majority of extramarital affairs are related to colleagues, accounting for 54%, while those who were originally classmates, teachers, students, or neighbors accounted for 65%; Fifthly, extramarital affairs are mainly characterized by the fault party's aversion to the new and the old, accounting for 47% of cases. There are 18% cases of marital discord, 13% cases of active involvement by a third party, and 6% cases of existing romantic relationships between the two. According to the analysis and summary of the research, the following men are more likely or have more opportunities for extramarital affairs (but this does not necessarily mean that these people will definitely have an affair).
1. Rich and powerful men are particularly favored by young and beautiful women for their money and status.
2. Men who are dissatisfied with their wives. If they are dissatisfied with their marital relationship or their wife's appearance, personality, sexual life, etc., they are likely to seek compensation outside of the family.
3. Romantic Tang Huang and romantic players. They mostly play games in life, play with women, lack a sense of responsibility, and rarely have true love.
4. The boss or supervisor of the company. They often have the opportunity to encounter young women who are worth pursuing or actively pursuing.
5. Men in their forties and fifties. At this time, men are generally successful in their careers, have a lot of money in their pockets, and appear stable and responsible, with rich social experience, thus becoming the fantasy goal of many young women. Faced with elderly wives and long-term suppressed sex in their families, they are likely to be involved in extramarital affairs.
6. Men whose wives are during pregnancy and childbirth may not be able to withstand the temptation.
7. Men with chauvinism in their families. In some parts of modern society and individual families, strong women are rampant. A man who encounters such a wife has no status or authority, so he is likely to seek a gentle lamb as compensation to maintain psychological balance.
8. Men who experience misfortunes such as unemployment or demotion will seek refuge or venting through extramarital affairs.
9. Men who pursue romance or excitement.
10. Men in the white-collar class.
11. Men who travel frequently or for a long time.
12. Men with rich experience in premarital sex.
13. Some people in the circle of friends have extramarital relationships with men.
14. Male parents who have had an affair. Research by foreign scholars has found that most people who have extramarital affairs, their parents or grandparents, have also experienced extramarital affairs in nine out of ten cases. Therefore, it has been concluded that extramarital affairs are hereditary. This does not refer to physiological inheritance, but to psychological inheritance. According to analysis, it is mainly because the next generation retaliates or compensates against the previous generation.
Hypermetropic women
Women and men have both opposite sex and commonality. Therefore, the above two have both differences and similarities. Based on the opinions of some scholars and the author's personal analysis, there are various situations where women are more likely to have extramarital affairs:
1. Women who are dissatisfied with their marital relationships and lack their husband's care and understanding.
2. Women who are dissatisfied with their marital sexual life will also seek compensation through infidelity.
3. Women who are dissatisfied with their husbands or lack love.
4. Modern professional women. Western scholars have found that there is a significant correlation between work and extramarital affairs, and the office is the place where extramarital affairs are most likely to occur. In 1986, a survey conducted by New Women magazine found that 57% of professional women met others in the workplace.
5. Engaged in male dominated industries such as doctors, lawyers, drivers, filmmakers, business owners, architects, scientists, advertising professionals, managers, etc. They have more opportunities to meet excellent men and be pursued by them.
6. A young wife. In 1975, foreign experts pointed out that among all age groups, the highest proportion of extramarital affairs occurred among women aged 26 to 30. In 1983, a survey by American Spouses also found that young women were the most likely to have extramarital affairs. Recent surveys have shown that the proportion of infidelity among young women in their 20s is even 10% higher than that of men of the same age. A survey conducted in the United States in 1988 on extramarital affairs found that modern young women betray their husbands faster than before after marriage. For example, before 1960, women who got married only had their first extramarital affair after an average of 14 and a half years, while modern women only have extramarital affairs for 5 years.
Middle aged women in their thirties and forties, i.e. those who have been married for 2-3 years and around 10 years. According to a survey conducted by Eastern experts on the issue of extramarital affairs among over 2000 women, the average age at which women experience extramarital affairs is 30 years old. This result is basically the same as the survey conducted by Western countries such as the American Marriage and Family Association, which found that the average age at which women experience extramarital affairs is 31 years old.
8. Women with rich experience in premarital sex. Experts found that there is a close relationship between premarital sex and extramarital affairs. Usually, the more sexual experiences before marriage, the higher the probability of having an affair after marriage.
9. Women with higher education levels than their husbands. Experts have found that women with higher education levels than their husbands not only have a higher proportion of extramarital affairs, but also often have more than one partner. However, experts also point out that in recent times, the rate of women with lower education levels having extramarital affairs has also been continuously increasing.
10. Women whose social role status or living and working environment have changed. For example, some housewives have a significantly increased chance of having an affair when they enter the workforce.
11. Women whose parents have recently passed away.
12. Women whose friends have an affair.
13. Women whose parents have had an affair.
14. Women who have fewer couples and more separation.
15. Women who pursue romance and seek novelty and excitement.
The general process of extramarital love among women is to dislike the old and embrace the new, abandoning the old and pursuing the new, but rarely to embrace the new and never tire of the old. They are often braver and more persistent than men in pursuing extramarital happiness. Many people dare to disdain mainstream culture, resist various social pressures, and even give up child rearing and property benefits. They break with their husbands resolutely, but fail to see their lovers take a substantial step, leading to their own financial and personal difficulties.
Although the outcomes of extramarital affairs vary, the final choices of men and women often exhibit their own gender characteristics. When a married man is in a passionate relationship, he often promises to break up with his wife and reunite with his lover. However, in real life, trustworthy men who truly fulfill their promises are still rare. Many people use various excuses to procrastinate and delay in putting their promises into practice. Their general process of extramarital love often goes from "liking the new but not tired of the old" to "not tired of the old but abandoning the new". So, does it mean that a man is more selfish, hypocritical, or even treacherous when he retreats at a critical moment.
