What are the common types of gynecological cervicitis? What are the common causes of cervicitis
There are certain reasons for the occurrence of cervicitis, and there are also many factors, which are mainly overlooked in daily life. Therefore, we need to have reasonable lifestyle habits, which is also the key to prevention.
1、 Types of cervicitis
1. Cervical erosion: This is the most common chronic cervicitis. The appearance of the cervix and vagina at the outer opening of the cervix is a fine-grained area, which is one of the types of cervicitis.
2. Cervical hypertrophy: This type of cervicitis is caused by long-term stimulation of chronic inflammation, including cervical congestion, edema, glandular and interstitial hyperplasia, and cervical enlargement to a certain extent.
3. Cervical polyps: Under the long-term stimulation of chronic inflammation, the cervical mucosa locally proliferates, and the uterus has a drainage effect. The proliferating mucosa gradually protrudes from the cervical opening, forming polyps.
4. Cervical gland cyst: also known as Nabot cyst, abbreviated as a cyst. This is a small blue white vesicle protruding from the surface of the cervix, which is also a type of cervicitis.
5. Endometritis of the cervix: Inflammation of the cervix. Inflammation is limited to the cervical mucosa and its underlying tissues. Clinically, it can be seen that the cervical and vaginal parts are smooth, but the cervical opening is congested or blocked by purulent secretions.
2、 Etiology of cervicitis
1. Sexually transmitted pathogens: gonorrhoea Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia trachomatis, herpes simplex virus and Mycoplasma genitalium are mainly found in high-risk groups of sexually transmitted diseases.
2. Endogenous pathogens: Some cervicitis pathogens are the same as bacterial vaginal pathogens. However, some patients have unclear pathogens. Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae infect the columnar epithelium of the cervical canal, and spread along the mucosal surface to cause superficial infection. The lesion is obviously the cervical canal. In addition to the columnar epithelium of the cervix, Neisseria gonorrhoeae often invades the mobile epithelium of the urethra, paraurethral glands and vestibular glands.
3. Mechanical stimulation or injury: The occurrence of cervicitis is related to sexual activity. Natural or artificial abortion, diagnostic curettage, and delivery can cause cervical injury and inflammation. Adult women should pay attention to contraception, avoid or reduce artificial abortion surgery, pay attention to postpartum hygiene, and avoid postpartum infection.
4. Chemical stimulation: Washing the vagina with potassium permanganate solution or placing suppositories in the vagina can cause cervicitis.
5. Vaginal foreign body infection: Vaginal foreign body infection causes cervicitis.
6. Unclean sexual activity: Sexual activity can cause many gynecological diseases, among which cervicitis is also a common type. Failure to pay attention to hygiene during sexual activity can cause bacteria to enter the vagina, stimulate the cervix, and ultimately cause cervicitis. In addition, frequent sexual activity can bring strong stimulation to the cervix, leading to cervicitis.
