Too long foreskin is not strange to many people. In fact, too long foreskin is not a disease, but it does great harm. And if phimosis or serious foreskin causes adhesion, it will affect the normal sexual life of men. So early detection and treatment can effectively prevent serious follow-up diseases. How can you judge whether you have too long foreskin?
In fact, the method is very simple. When the penis is erect, the prepuce can retreat to the back of the way. If there is an obstacle, the prepuce is too long. If the prepuce mouth is narrow, or the prepuce is adhesive with the penis head, and the prepuce cannot turn up to reveal the urethral orifice or the penis head, it is a phimosis. Excessive prepuce can be divided into true and false prepuce. The true prepuce is too long, which means that the glans cannot be completely exposed after the penis is erect, and there will be pain when you want to expose the glans, which makes it difficult to have sex; The false foreskin is too long, which means that the glans cannot be exposed when it is weak, and the glans can be completely or partially exposed when it is erect for sexual life. Prolonged pseudoprepuce does not affect the normal life of men, as long as attention is paid to maintenance, there is no need for treatment.
There is another way to judge whether your foreskin is too long or phimosis. You can smear soap on the penis to lubricate the inside of the foreskin, fix the penis with your left hand, and push the foreskin backward and turn it over with your right hand. If you can turn the foreskin up smoothly, it is the foreskin is too long. If the foreskin mouth is too small to turn up, it is the foreskin.
Excessive prepuce should be diagnosed from the following aspects:
Medical history inquiry
Mainly ask if there is a family history of hereditary diseases, especially hypospadias, cryptorchidism, infertility, etc. In addition, poor sense of smell, early deaf-mute and vision loss are often part of the symptoms of penis-related syndrome.
Physical examination
In addition to the measurement of penis, attention should also be paid to whether there are signs related to chromosome and brain development abnormalities, such as wide eye distance, small mouth, low auricle position, etc. At the same time, the development of scrotum and the position, number and size of testicles should also be understood.
Head imaging examination
Mainly check the brain for hypothalamus, pituitary and other abnormalities. Magnetic resonance imaging should be taken as a routine examination if conditions permit. For those with craniofacial abnormalities, attention should be paid to whether the optic nerve chiasma and the fourth ventricle are abnormal.
Hormone determination
Although the medical history and accompanying symptoms and signs can provide some clues for the diagnosis of etiology, the main diagnostic method is hormone examination. The serum testosterone, luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone values in different age groups are quite different, so the diagnostic methods are not completely the same. Generally, human chorionic gonadotropin stimulation test is used to determine testicular function, and then gonadotropin releasing hormone stimulation test is used to determine pituitary function.
